Austrian Grand Prix 2014, Spielberg - Race 8/19

"Very very dramatic"?

He went wide, got onto the grass and couldn't hold it. How is that dramatic? It might have been dramatic had people been shooting at him while this was going on.

With RPGs.

While he was on fire.

With bears attacking him.

You've been reading the FIAs latest rule proposals, haven't you! :p

It's always a rule. The FIA just seem to pick and choose where they apply it.

Was it India last year where they said categorical there would be a zero tollerance stance on going over the white line, and then they did nothing all weekend while everyone went wide all the time?

Yes. Disqualified from qually if all four wheels off track at t8 at least.

Ill eat my hat if that actually happens.

Also, the pit entrance is retarded. The painting that while line around turn 8 has mandated slow cars sitting on the apex. Just ditch the white line and let the drivers take turn 8 normally and then slot in between 8 and 9.

I know it's always a rule, but by convention it was hardly ever enforced, right? So I was wondering if there's been guidance they're going to be stricter/enforce it, essentially.
.

It seems to be what's decided by fia/driver briefing at each race. If they're wasn't decent flat run offs it wouldn't be an issue. It's only since new tracks and removal of sand pits has it been an issue.

The more I see Rosberg interviewed, the less I like him. He used to be very likeable, but now he's at the top and has a rivalry with Lewis, he seems to come across rather moody, almost angry. I could have course be imagining this, but this is my perception.

I agree. Reason is, he knows Lewis is faster and knows that this might be the best opportunity he ever has of winning an F1 title. He has already shown he is willing to be pretty unsporting to get what he wants and i think we will see him use more underhand tactics as the season progresses.

If anything he should be happy he has had all the luck and no DNF's.

Sutil's laptime also gone.

It's going to take a while to shake everything through once the session is over I think.

And Bianchi loses a time...
