Austrian Grand Prix 2014, Spielberg - Race 8/19

Retarded isn't it. I've posted it in the Off Topic thread.

I do like how they have 'vapour trails' on their agenda. How are they going to manage that then? Are the FIA proposing they control the weather at every race?

It's not like the cars aren't bottoming out already, we can hear clearly with these new engines that they are most of the way down the straights, so I don't see the problem with making a bit of that titanium for some sparks, why not?

Because this is the FIAs reaction to trying to improve F1.

The races can be boring, the drivers can be state funded pay drivers, the teams can all be skint and the sport can die due to a lack of interest from manufacturers, but so long as the cars sound good and create some flashy sparks its all ok?!

Did you know there is now a regulation governing the allowance of donuts and post race celebrations?

43.3 After receiving the end-of-race signal all cars must proceed on the circuit directly to the post
race parc fermé without any unnecessary delay, without receiving any object whatsoever and
without any assistance (except that of the marshals if necessary).
An exception to Article 30.4 and to the above will be made for the winning driver who may
perform an act of celebration before reaching parc fermé, provided any such act :
a) Is performed safely and does not endanger other drivers or any officials.
b) Does not call into question the legality of his car.
c) Does not delay the podium ceremony.
Any classified car which cannot reach the post race parc fermé under its own power will be
placed under the exclusive control of the marshals who will take the car to the parc fermé.

Do you not think a governing body who would rather regulate the correct and appropriate way to celebrate winning, and mandate attachments to cars to make noise and sparks, rather than actually regulating the sport itself, has somewhat lost the plot?

Interesting about Mp4-29's behaviour in Turn 3. The Mclaren car has less understeer than even the Mercedes and Red Bull.
"Turn Three is understeer city, everyone is locking up here," reports Martin Brundle from trackside. "The best front-end here with less understeer is the McLaren, followed by the Mercedes. The worst is the Ferrari, it looks like they have terminal understeer."

Lots and lots of new updates on the Mclaren, completely new front wing, micro-aerodynamic tweaks and big rear aero updates too.

And yet apparently the super softs are being chewed. *sigh*

yeah I heard that message must not have got all of it though because all I heard were "we've got the same issues as 2 weeks ago" and then crofty and ted conversing over what they could be..

Wow, only just seen the Vettel spin, very very dramatic, can't believe he didn't clip the wall and smash up the car frankly.

"Very very dramatic"?

He went wide, got onto the grass and couldn't hold it. How is that dramatic? It might have been dramatic had people been shooting at him while this was going on.

With RPGs.

While he was on fire.

With bears attacking him.
