He'll probably still come in second anyway... I still think Ferrari will regret that soft tyre start too.

Like I said, it was a penalty all day long.
Seems fair (Lewis fan), clumsy move and given fair warning as well. It happens I doubt he'll lose sleep over it, hopefully give more action tomorrow, however the way this season has gone probably won't.
Interested to see how temps will impact the race tomorrow.
How's that chip on your shoulder looking now?Lewis impeded raikonnen in q1, let's see if he gets a penalty.
J/k of course he won't.
What help did Raikkonnen need? He still got through to Q3 and got the set of tyres back that was wasted on the first run so no harm done. I still agree with the penalty though. Merc were obviously sleeping on Ham's first outlap. The penalty doesn't really help Raikanen though.
Andi.

The Ferrari has been magnificent all weekend for LeClerc. Absolute monster on the straights. If they could sort their cornering speeds out they'd be real powerhouse.
Doesn’t sound like you can have both though.
This is the problem with penalties in general really, the offender gets penalised and the guy on the other end usually ends up with no gain or worse, look at Norris last week...The penalty doesn't really help Raikanen though.
Andi.
But if the track temp is high again I can't see them lasting...The Ferrari car is not good with mediums or hards. I was in horror the previous races when they avoided the softest compound altogether, and lost the races.
Why not? It all depends on the acceleration, max speed is limited by the engine, unless they continue to accelerate further without the engine being a brake.
You still have aero limitations. I doubt the engine is that much faster in the Ferrari. You need to read the aero article about low vs high rake.

And how useless are the BBC? Reporting that Hamilton is starting in 4th, mentioning it several times in the report
You can throw a dog to 1000 km/h in two seconds with a right method. There is no aerodynamic shape of the dog.

Oh well that explains that then, still rubbish of them to not even mention Mags own penalty at the same time, because if we're reporting on penalties, report them all, right
