AVB leaves Chelsea (sacked)

I think I counted yesterday that 8 players who you'd expect to start or at least play some part on a match day were bought by Mourinho! AVB was with him then so he knew about most of the players he'd be managing and they're obviously not what he wants for the system and style he plays.

Abramovich is going to ruin that club and I think any manager who actually wanted to manage a team would be foolish to go there.

Chelsea are a joke of a club, not so much for sacking AVB but for the whole shenanigans that ended up with him there in the first place.

Chelsea are stuck between a rock and a hard place. It's clear AVB doesn't have the support of the players and his tactics can be way off, but he wasn't really given any time to rebuild. Who exactly are they going to get in now?

I don't get why they appointed him in the first place. AVB seems like a decent guy, but watching him give interviews etc he doesnt strike me as someone who is confident in his job. Most recently just seemed to keep admitting the other team were better, and how poor Chelsea were, but without any belief that he can turn it around. No confidence in himself, how can Abramovich have confidence in him?

Absolute joke. Villas-Boas seems like a decent man and he should have stayed at Porto where everyone praised and loved him. Well, at least he has millions in his pocket in compensation!

Chelsea are a joke, I hope Andre will find a decent European club and evolve as a manager. Still very young.

I thought that Roman would've waited until after the Napoli game & confirmation they were out of the CL.

Still another one bites the dust. Sooner than I thought TBH.

Capello next methinks? :p ;)

As a chelsea fan I'm sad. We need stability and a long term plan. Yeah the results haven't been great but the players have responsibility for that too. We're not gonna win things if we change our manager every year, and the squad simply isn't as good enough to win stuff right now.

He should have stayed on and had the chance to mould the team in his image after the inevitable summer clear out.

Also it will have cost us quite a lot given the £13mil transfer fee, compensation, and wages. :/

Breaking News: To save time and money Chelsea have sacked their next manager as well.

He should have stayed on and had the chance to mould the team in his image after the inevitable summer clear out.

This exactly. All the old guard are playing terribly and are throwing strops, so more blame should be on them. If he could have cleared away the crap players (Torres, lol) and had a chance to bring in new players then who knows what would have happened. Roman has to learn that you can't come in and be successful straight away. Not everyone is Mourinho. Write off this season and just build for the next campaign.
