Avengers: Infinity War (2018) - SPOILER FREE DISCUSSION - DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, STARMUNCH!

I was meant to have physio this morning but it was cancelled, so I was tempted to use the time to go on a sneaky early morning visit to the cinema until I remembered it was nearly 3hrs long :D

And it flew by! 150 minutes and not a bored look in the whole cinema.

It was a very good Marvel film considering the sheer number of characters involved, I really enjoyed it on the whole.
Think Thor and Dr Strange are my favourite characters :)

I still get narked off having to sit through credits to see the final snippets though. After all the films that's like an entire film of credits in itself we've all had to watch!

First time I've seen a film fully book out a 4dx showing in ages that I'm going to, last film to do that was Star Wars Episode 7 and that's the early bird 09:30 showing tomorrow.

Well Vue website has been down most of this morning but managed to snag tickets for 6.10 tonight (a mate has invited us to go). Also planned going next weekend (with kids) then going to watch in Imax the weekend after that (mate wants to see it then when we are away) I'm so glad I got a load of free tickets that should offset some of the cost ha ha.

Just got back, other films have used 4dx much better than what this did. Enjoyable and even with it being so long it didn't feel slow in places due to switching between different areas.

I honestly thought it was nigh on perfect. That's how you make a film different from the existing material. Star Wars should take note, they side stepped the old EU in a terrible way that left people disconnected from the people they had a connection with in the original films. This was just fantastic, in the UK we are quite reserved at films and I have never heard shouts of "yes" when XYZ turns up! I'm not even a huge marvel fan, my son is but I cannot wait to see it again or what comes next.

10/10 best film I've seen in a long while.

Epic truly epic 10/10. I don't recall ever seeing a film with so much going on at the same time yet feeling a connection to all involved. Bravo Disney you pulled it off, I am genuinely looking forward to seeing it again next Saturday on an even larger screen.

I havent seen Black Panther yet, should i see it before this ?

I might not even get to see this for a few weeks tbh lol!
no you don't need to see BP at all.
also a lot of 10/10s here genuinely surprised as even reddit is more reserved in it's opinions on this.

good movie but I think 10/10 is purely hype driven not objectively based at this stage. just like all those 10/10 for phantom menace on release!

i disagree - i think within the genre it occupies, and because of the groundwork the previous 18 movies made, this one is nigh on perfect.
It can't be compared to shawshank or the godfather because they are so different, but a high score is very well deserved imo.
Compare this to the black panther which was objectively average if you want to see undeserved hype.
I'm usually very picky if i want to be, but there are at most a couple of things i could nitpick with this film, as opposed to the garbage fire of the phantom menace which was an incompetent mess.

But it all comes down to personal opinion in the end, as does everything.
