AvP MP demo is live

well just had another few goes but dont go in with a mic on in ts arghhhhhhhhh my ears :( built in voice chat plays havoc till inn game

predator learnt a few more moves and he feels more nimble now can sprint round by pressing q which i think is one of the main fails is nobody knows what does what at moment and there isnt no explaining so its just try it to see.


my mate was a alien and hes like a instannt pro nab at it but i sucked at alien :p

heres a predator before he knifed me :D




im gaining a little faith now just need to stick at learning the moves properly . im gunna stick at it till good with all to access it fully.
 
This is my first experience of multiplayer based on p2p servers......

If this is typical of the experience, it will be my last.

I would love to be able to comment on the actual game but seeing as i have only had about 4mins playtime in over an hour of 'searching for games' and 'host has left the game' , i cant...

What a steaming pile of xxxx.......

Any dev who stands up and says p2p delivers an enjoyable experience is a liar and shout have his eyes and tongue ripped out....with a spoon.

your video seems to make the game look fairly decent, my download is just about ready so I can at least test it soon.

Reading some of the comments here has really put me off. Think I might cancel my pre order....


edit. Just cancelled my order. I'd rather be sure I'm going to like it. I've bought far too many games without seeing whether they're worth getting for them to then turn out crap.

Good move. I reckon it would have a couple of days of interest at best.
 
i just tried again and eventually got a game.

I've decided the excitement of this game can be recreated by getting a 10 minute loop of the heartbeat sensor "ping" from aliens, which randomly speeds up as if something was close, followed by a screen shot of you with an alien ripping you apart or a predator pulling your spine out.

this game is still gash - even tho i have spent 1 minute screaming like a schoolgirl tryign to shoot at "something" i thought i saw that turned out to be an alien corpse just thrashing on the floor and sliding about ???? wtf indeed
 
Well, im having fun with the game.
Has an odd issue with freezing in the lobby but otherwise I fine all 3 species quite fun to play.

Managed to block an Alien attack, countered with a burst of my Pulse rifle, good stuff.
 
oh my god cant disable the voice chat with out muting my mike which i need on for ts :( why cant u just disable it in steam ffs . set to push to talk in steam settinng yet when i talk it transmits it !

ive turned my mike vol basically off in steam and recieve off and still comes through as normal.

in any other game you just diselect voice chat job done .

This happened to me when I first tried to d/l it, but after I restarted steam and tried again it worked fine.

I really don't know what to make of it tbh, I played the 3 different classes, and I enjoyed playing as Predator, but the Marine and Alien were pants.

I thought this was going to be an amazing game going by all the mad hype online, but if this demo is anything to go by I personally wont be purchasing it.
 
Can't say I thought too much of it when I played it before, albeit briefly. Predator seems very over powered- I just right clicked every enemy I saw, instant kills seemingly :/

I'll keep trying the demo, but I think I'll just order Stalker as things are looking currently.
 
I still havent had a game as marine where my bullets dont take over 1 second to leave the barrel -.-

Makes it extremely hard to get any decent kills
