AW3418DW best bang for buck uw?

So i suspect we may be waiting a while. What annoys me about things like this is you are not notfied, the comment on hotuk suggests their delivery date is still showing (20th) but the item isnt showing as shipped, and they have had to chase customer services for any updates.

That is if we even get one, with these being end of line.

that would have been me, Just got an email stating delayed and expected delivery by 26/02/20, Annoying but not much you can do I suppose.

I got the same email and dates. I had ordered one a couple of days before at ~645 but cancelled to get this price. Oh well a week extra isn't so long.

Yet they still show the 18DW on their website as in stock and shipping today! Nice deal on the 20DW if you can afford the extra.
 
Well my excitement was short lived.

Was for a different order.

Spoke to customer services who said there is no more stock and as it is EOL the orders will be cancelled.

Did you get an email first saying they had delayed your order with a new date? I'm a bit concerned mine will get cancelled too. I started the HUKD thread so it's my own fault :D

I've had the same email and am expecting the same lol.

Got a your order is delayed email with a new date of the 26th feb, was originally 24th. Ordered the 19th
 
I currently only have the delayed to the 26th email. I ordered on the 18th.

I phoned customer service and they said they were cancelling the orders.
 
I've emailed customers services at dinner but no reply yet.

Expecting same response as you of course.

Find it strange they are still selling them online though, although £100 dearer with same code applied.

So why no out of stock notification on website?

Seems everyone's getting different answers.

If i even managed to get a monitor, How would this work with dells warranty if you ever had to send it back and they dont have any more.

Would imagine the same way it works with all other electronics that all go EOL. Repair, replacement with newer equivalent item, or refund.
 
I've not had any further emails since the initial delayed till the 26th one. On a side not can anyone tell me how this would preform with an AMD card? Is freesync an option?
 
I didnt get an offer, just a big delay, although website order still says due 26th so i dont know.

Dont fancy waiting a month and on the edge of just cancelling, but then I dont have new toys to play with, but I also dont want to spend another £250 for very little difference.

I'd hang onto your order, it sounds like they have worked out the stock and sent cancellations on orders made after a certain point. Though them still taking orders is strange - something doesn't add up. Maybe only X amount to be sold at the discounted price?
