Stupid post IMHO.
The way I look a breaking the law in a car is <100 mph = points >100 = ban.
That is on a clear highway in good weather conditions.
I can't believe that anyone would admit to breaking the law on a forum.
Things like this just push us closer to the day that some bright spark decides that the legal limit is 70mph therefore lets restrict all cars and bikes to 70mph.

If you want to drive your car flat out get yourselves on a track day.

120ish (km/h ) indicated, never really bother these days, i prefer acceleration to top speed.

That road looks good for vMax to me, why back off? Lack of balls is the only explanation I can come up with

2100metre road, so 1mile acceleration and 500metres to slow down, sounds about right, try an come off the roundabout at 40mph will help aswell

The quicker you can get there the easier/'safer' it is. Same goes for how quick you can shave it off

the highest speed i ever did was my old supercharged vr6 on a private road dont know what speed i did as it went way off the 160 mph clock only did it once to see if it would doubt il ever bother doing it again risk vs gain is getting silly at them speeds. my current car is a fair bit faster but i doubt il ever bother doing another speed run

125mph M40/M25 2-3am and i was 17, so about 11yrs ago. Did'nt know my cars much then but it was a brand new 996 or something that my mates dad stupidly left the keys at home for while me and him house tended while he was away on business, looking back it was dumb, actually while i was doing it it occured to me that this was dumb but i did it still...
I got my old 1.6 auto Focus to 113 GPS (about 120 indicated lol) on the M1 couple years back and recently had my 320D at 143mph gps on ze autobahn last yr.

Got 105mph out my 1.1 205, 145mph out the Vecrta 2.0 SRI and 140mph out the Suzuki RF600, id eased off a bit before i dare take my eyes off the road to look at the speedo!

All on the Autobahn of course!
