Baby killers, what's the fastest you've done in your car?

I 'did a ton on the M1' for real, in a Rover 213 hire car years ago.
Nowadays if I'm in a car park and see a sign saying speed limit 5mph, I'll just go and do 10mph if nobody is looking.

Hehe yes, likewise ...except a PS2 in my case, I wish they would hurry up with Gran Turismo 5 though, I bought a PS3 largely with that game in mind ...this was 18 months ago and it still isn't here :mad:

Well I've never seen 3 figure speeds on our roads of course, but once in the desert somewhere around the Nevada/California state line ...between Las Vegas and Death Valley ...where you can see for miles in every direction and the road is long and straight and just flows up and down gradually from horizon to horizon in bright yellow Corvette C5 I did some ...interesting speeds.

Put it this way, if there had been a State Trooper about, I'd have been in the proverbial, fortunately there wasn't ...it'd be fairly hard to hide a police car out there anyway.
 
I've had my old 200sx up to an indicated 140mph so probably a real 130mph. Fastest on track at Elvington was 125mph.

In a moment of stupidity I managed to ring the neck of my 450BHP RS4 in sixth coming down the M11.

That was properly scarey :eek:
 
Didn't quite get there but only because I ran out of M11. It really was the most ridiculously stupid thing to do.

It was coming back from and airport run at about 5:00am on a bright sunny day if that's any excuse.
 
could still be limited. my E60 M5 cut in at 170mph indicated and E92 M3 169mph indicated. E39 was 160mph indicated so about 155 true, but even so they all vary a bit.
 
130 indicated and 122 on the GPS, in a 9 year old 1.8 Mondeo at over 150k :D.

Mind it was downhill and full throttle for alonnnng time.. on my private track.
 
Maxed out @ 122 (indicated) going down a slight hill.

Not even close to the redline in 6th but its such a gutless POS (3yr old Megane 1.5DCi 105bhp).

I'm sure Will Gill took me some silly speeds back in the day (chasing an rs6 in the scoob) but I couldn't see the dash so can't remember :(

Varies a lot, my merc is supposidly limited yet goes beyond 155 on the clocks. Ditto various BM's ive had. It was probably still "limited" :)
