Baby killers, what's the fastest you've done in your car?

Me - about 42mph in a 40mph zone during a driving lesson when I was 17. No, I haven't driven at all since I passed my test :p

My dad - about 110mph in his Honda Accord at 5am down a *completely* empty M6 Toll. I really love that road, it's always worth the toll charge just to blast down it and avoid congestion.

110MPH in my Impreza along the A46 near Leamington (three lane A road). Got pulled over for it as well. :(

Although I got let off as he got a call on his radio to another incident. Told me next time I'm caught doing it, I will lose my license.

I learnt my lesson.

Did 140 indicated in my Prelude on the autobahn, which isn't bad considering its top speed is rated as 143mph and its 16years old. It was still accelerating but i was approaching other road users and I'm not one to risk piling into the back of someone.

Wait, so because your Dad wouldnt take you out, you stole your Mums moped, drove it like a fool and crashed it?

Seriously?

Stole?

Now you are baiting me for an angry reply...
I got the keys from her,

Since when is taking one of the vehicles in your household stealing, what kind of retarded conclusion is that?

The local constabulary kindly gave me a free speed check which confirmed I was doing an average of 108 mph over a certain distance. It got better, a few months later some really nice bloke in a wig offered to look after my driving licence for 3 months and later return it, all crispy and new with some new special writing on it.

In all seriousness, not a laughing matter and as a result I then later sold my M3 and now have, and am trying hard to keep, a clean licence. Shame it can often take an incident like this to make you see sense.

Odd thing was, my insurance never went up after the ban. Couldn't quite get my head round that.

Mine's a strange one, it's a toss up between 220kph (136mph) indicated in my Commodore SS and 130mph indicated in my Mondeo TDCi 130.

I had a heavy load in the SS when going for it through the outback but in the Mondeo it was empty on a good surface - Unless weight/road surface (Mondeo run was much smoother) has a massive impact (Don't think weight does at high speeds... correct me if I'm wrong), I must have a disabled sense of acceleration because remembering it now, the Mondeo seem to get there quicker despite the power difference (130bhp vs 330bhp).

However, I did have sparks coming out the exhaust of the Mondeo for a good few days after my top speed attempt... I think I'd dumped a load of unburnt diesel into the exhaust system which was slowly being burnt off...
The lorries flashing me on the way past at 130mph made me slow down until I suddenly saw a big ploom of sparks in my rear view mirror... Not good. It went away after a week so I assume it fixed itself ;-)

No it isn't.
Why wouldn't it be for you?
The pc is actually worth far more...
Why would ones parents refuse to loan out a moped, bike, car you could replace easily within a day?

these days we all take each others vehicles without even asking, if my dad takes my car I'll take his, this is normal in a family imo...

About 125mph in my 1.6 golf, it seemed to not go higher even though my foot was down. This was at about 12am on a huge stretch of empty dual carriage way...trying to get a to a suicidal family member, horrible experience :(
