Yeah, but I still over-estimate situations on 2 wheels:
It was like this, I just picked up my driver's licence, I came home, I wanted to take a drive, dad said no you can't drive alone for a couple of months, ''only when I am with you'' ( I bought the Volvo in a month or so anyhow, being the stubborn guy I am)... I got annoyed that day and realized I could also ride mopeds now ( free ''AM'' license if you do a ''B'' license here), I took my mums moped for a ride, all well after 3 miles or so and I got overconfident on a cycle path I knew well, there was a right corner behind a downhill bit from a bridge I always went as fast through as I could on my bike, on my moped I released the throttle but while entering the corner I noticed I still entered far too fast now, since it was a higher speed than on my bike, the problem was worse because it was wet and the rear brake wasn't perfect ( should have tightened the cable before the ride), braked too hard with the front brake, front wheel locked up and I went wide, scuffed/hit a wooden pole/post with first my alloy then the body, fell to the right, and ended up on my side in the grass only a couple of meters from a canal.
Result: Steering went wrong ( wheel was turning left when steering was ''straight'''), alloy damaged ( tyre lost all air in 15 mins) and minor cosmetic damage on the body. Now I'm taking it extra easy in corners and still don't feel safe over 30 mph on it. Luckily mopeds cost peanuts to fix.
