I’ve used Acronis TrueImage Home V8 for quite a while and am thinking of a RAID 0 set up for a new build.
My manual makes no mention of RAID. I have V10 Home, which I don’t think mentions it either.
I may have to try Speedy2004’s idea.

I've done it with Acronis no problems. Think it may be hit or miss depending on your board/raid controller. Mine is a Gigabyte DS3
I anticipate getting a Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R. Is this the MB you are referring to.
If you can confirm which version of TI, including the build, you are using it would be appreciated.
I wouldn’t use a RAID set up if I couldn’t back it up.
Edit: From Acronis on the Support Forum:
"Acronis True Image 10.0 Home supports Windows Vista and RAID configurations (including RAID 0) even while booted from Bootable Rescue media.
When Acronis True Image is running under Windows, it works with all the hard disk drivers detected by the operating system. If Acronis True Image is running in rescue mode (e.g. to restore the system partition), then it provides support for all hardware RAID controllers.
We would recommend that you make sure you use the latest build (4942) of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home. You can find build number in the Help -> About dialog. To get access to updates you should first register your software.
Please create a new Acronis True Image Bootable Rescue Media using the latest build (check chapter 10 "Creating Bootable Media" in the Acronis True Image User Guide), boot your computer from it and test its functionality."
People are having problems with RAID and TI so no guarantee it will work every time for everyone but in theory it should.
