Bahrain Grand Prix 2013, Sakhir - Race 4/19

Hmm. I'm just trying to figure out if its ironic that there is a big "think before you drive" campaign banner below the podium in a non alcohol drinking country?

But its easily available in the country, when I'm working in Dubai or Bahrain I just obtain a permit which allows me to purchase alcohol. Some of the hotels I've been to have bars/nightclubs in them.

Vettel is 24pts infront compared to this time last year.
Alosno is 4 points infront compared to this time last year.

Vettel/RBR are on the cards to finish even stronger this year it seems....
Or they have been fortunate?
Thoughts?

Is that a guy or a girl that's up there with vimto?

Ha. I wondered

Amazing! Well done lotus. Especially RG. I did enjoy seeing him race today. Very pleased with the race considering quali

Alonso did well. Ferrari were very unlucky

I think considering it was Bahrain I don't think we can complain with some of the racing we got today.

The tyres made it great. I like how some cars are fast and some tyre friendly. Keeps it mixed. Close tyre compounds helps too

Exemplary driving in general, so much battling

First and last few laps were interesting, middle stint was dull as dishwasher except for the McLaren squabble. No fight for the lead either. Don't blame knip for falling asleep.

Shame about Alonso, good drive from Vettel but it would have been nice to see the race play out had alonso not had woes and whether Red Bull again like last year have got to grip with the car after a shaky start and will dominate again.

Like previous years I don't think the other contenders are getting enough points on the board when Red Bull aren't at their strongest to take this from Vettel.

Any news on any fallout between the mclaren drivers? Considering the money that perez can bring in, button is only going to loose this one.

Looks like its started.

I think Button is one to talk tbh, and didn't like being shown up in wheel to wheel racing against his rookie team mate.
At one point Button squeezed Perez right off the track (a la Perez on Alonso).

My faith in Perez disappeared in the first 3 races of this season but I guess it was not fair for us to judge him based on his performance in 3 races only, considering its a new team for him.

I hope this is the start of more to come from Perez.

Reminded me of 2011 that, take Vettel out of the equation and it would have been a really interesting and close race like so much of those from that season.

The lack of TV coverage he got out front spoke volumes of the interest in his race.
