While I'm impressed with Lotus and they did go through the field, that car was SO superior to everything except maybe Vettel's RBR that, well Grosjean had no trouble breezing past anyone. Hamilton/Webber/Perez/Button fights were good though and much more even cars doing some real driving, we haven't really seen that in ages, actual fighting in multiple straights AND corners all around the track, not just the DRS zone.
Hamilton did superbly though maybe would have done better without mediums in the second stint, couldn't understand that call at all.
Likewise Button "I want to come in the second I can go to the end of the race", why did he think that meant 22 laps to go, how did the team think that meant 22 laps to go, yeah Perez got him, he wasn't losing 3 seconds a lap, no reason he couldn't go as long as Hamilton/Perez, horrendous call. Likewise you've got the Rosberg "cover Button" move, did the same, cost him too. Why either thought they could get to the end I don't know.
For me Hamilton had the best drive, while Grosjean/Kimi had the best result. The 5 lap grid penalty, I didn't see the build up, did they decide the suspension/gearbox broke because of the tyre breaking, which isn't their fault, so why wasn't the penalty recinded?
Lastly, Perez and Button shoving people off the track, how were both not investigated/punished? Also the slight contact Perez into Button, Button clearly slowed down on purpose to back him off, but Perez was far too close, **** head move by Button, expecting someone to react that quickly from that close, Webber did the same on Hamilton I thought but had a bigger gap, still came mighty close. The "wheel banging", was it Perez or Button, the first replay I saw made me think maybe Perez moved into Button, but another replay made me think Perez was driving quite straight and maybe Button moved into him, was it ever made clear who moved into who? Good on Perez, and good on Button(not his childish reaction but because he actually tried to race throughout and wasn't his usual girly self), that was for the first time in ages, a decent amount of back and forth overtaking. The people getting Rosberg down the straight wasn't nearly as interesting, its doing people around corners, picking different lines, trying to outbreak and outsmart the guy ahead that is "real" driving and this was one of the best races for that in freaking ages.
Webber on Rosberg, I half think because he came out of the pits ahead and because Rosberg came up around the outside he just genuinely didn't know he was there, bit harsh to give him a penalty.
Alonso... where would Alonso have finished if he didn't use DRS after the first pitstop... hard to say, he lost a pitstop in time but ended up clear of traffic for huge portions of the race, which may not have been true had he not made the extra stop.
Massa, wtf tyres blah blah blah, and Sutil, we spotted he'd gone missing straight away, commentators missed something blindingly obvious again.
