Yes. Mandated titanium blocks on the bottom of the cars to make pretty sparks.

Its primary purpose is to prevent the teams using rake and ride height to wear certain areas of the floor beyond what the regulations were designed to allow.

The sparks are a secondary side effect.
 
This is a clear indicator of how much Hamilton must have in hand.

People still basically thinking that because we associate Bahrain with being super hot desert... somehow the conditions will surely almost match the 65c track temps of Malaysia and the imaginary better tire life that Ferrari have will magically make them competitive here.

I hoped Rosberg would be gotten at the start because I figured the only over takes we'd see upfront would be Rosberg coming back through on the Ferraris.
