Norris pit radio - And that's P4 - P4. Well done. Scenario 1.

Norris - ******** nice! That's 4th and 5th right? Not a bad day.

Pit - Yeah man. 4th and 5th. Great points haul for the team.

Norris - Good job everyone. Good day again. Nice sunday, especially after yesterday. I think you guys did an awesome job, so thank you.

Pit - Well done. The whole team did an awesome job. Well done.

Really unsure how to rate this.

Seeing Romains crash really shook me, I was about 200m away from Huberts crash last year in Spa and I felt sick after seeing that explosion :(

So glad that he's ok, despite him having the reputation he does, Romain seems like a really nice guy and a big family man so if anything would have happened to him it would have been devastating...

Happy Albon finally had a podium to his name too, spices up the Albon/Perez debate a tiny bit too!

That was one of those crashes you read about from the 70's where people were getting half decapitated and dying nearly every season. Never think you'll see it in 2020.

You didn't, because of all the advances made since the 70s when drivers were regularly dying in crashes. You'll never stop the accidents, but (as demonstrated) you can stop the drivers getting killed when they have those accidents, nearly all of the time.

No wonder drivers get a hard time these days when you go half a dozen races without a podium and people respond with "He's finally got a podium" :p

To be fair Albon in that car should be in position each and every race t take advantage of trouble ahead like he did today when Perez engine gave out.
He isn't and thats why he should (in my opinion) still be booted out for 2021

Exactly this, red bulls second driver shouldn't be in ninth place in the standings with two races left in a season where there's only three teams competing for the podium.

I really like Alex, and an of the belief that the Red Bull car has been designed from the ground up to suit Max who more than likely prefers a different set up.

Same with Gasly, which is probably why being in that second seat seems a bit of a curse at the moment.

But he's made some errors this year (probably expected errors given it's only his second year) which have lost him and Red Bull some major points.

I'd love to see him still at RB next year, but Dr. Marko is a savage :p

Horrible throw back to the 1970s with cars penetrating barriers and an idiotic marshal running across the track to attend to a car on fire (see Tom Pryce's crash. Actually don't, it's one of the most gruesome things I've seen).

Thankfully no serious harm appears to have been done.

Now, if you were Magnussen, would you want to get back in your Haas having seen the sister car in 2 halfs?

The car splitting in half is very much by design, I don't think Magnussen will have any concerns about that. If anything it will give him confidence in the car, seeing as he's just seen his team mate get out of such a horrendous high energy crash unaided.

I'd like to hear his explanation for what he was doing before saying he was to blame, maybe he was avoiding something or had a puncture who knows.

Going by his track record though he probably was just dangerously cutting across!

Although the fire marshal running across today was a stupid thing to do. Grosjean almost certainly owes his life to the actions of that one fire marshal. He was the only fire marshal on that side of the car and his actions allowed Grosjean enough time to get out of the car. Had that marshal stayed on the other side of the track i'm certain Grosjean would have burnt to death this afternoon.

Didn't watch the race and have only just seen the crash, that was pretty intense.

Without the halo would the outcome of been the same?

I'm not sure why he cut across the track but that impact and ball of fire must have shook him up (and his family I'd imagine).

He's a nice guy, but he seems to get into these accidents more than others, one of them was bound to be a bit of a nasty one.

I've just noticed in a hires photo that Grosjean's survival cell appears to have split where the halo attaches. Just shows how much force was involved on both the halo and of course the chassis.

Lucky to survive. Lucky not to have severe burns. Lucky not to lose his legs.

Can't say I've seen anything similar since the since the front of Heikki Kovailen's McLaren split in two in the tyres at Barcelona.

I was referring to the marshal which ran across the track directly in front of Norris to attend to Perez's car. The marshal which ran across to help Grosjean should certainly be commended.
