No they didn't, they just moved to long run testing.

It was all planned out before testing started.

I know I was there working for them at the time.

We had zero money, we had to make every lap count, few quali type at the start, then move onto long run race pace.

Was talking to friends yesterday , and one opinion gaining ground is that, if they can run close, and overtake easier, qualifying position might not be so important now.

Used to be, when so hard to overtake, if you started ahead, you were good.

Might not be the case now.
