Less Low end torque enables good traction.

Lots of low end torque gives excess wheelspin and less traction.

You can also use your right foot to reduce torque.

It makes no sense. I'd rather have a more powerful engine I can moderate than one that is limited.

Using that as a reason why Ferrari engine cars are faster is illogical.

Imagine saying, electric cars are slower because they have too much low end torque.

You can have a powerful engine with a better spread of torque.

A much more usable and drivable power unit.

Torque from engine, is only partly controlled by your right foot though.

Whole way engine is designed has more influence.

And i am not saying torque or power is in any way limited, just spread out through powerband better.

Honestly, how have Mercedes ****ed this up so much?
Completely new regs, there was never any guarantee they could turn up with a championship winning car. There was every chance they could have turned up with a turkey and ended up at the back of the grid.

Not sure the engines had big changes. It might be overreacting to the reliability issues they had towards the end of last year.

edit:

In fact engines are frozen.
