Baldur's Gate 3

Finally got around to picking this up as not really playing anything else, 5 hours in so far and I don't even feel like I've properly started the game, met 5 companions so far and got up to level 3. Been punishing at times especially the first fight against the Goblins before getting in the camp.

I'm 60 hours in and still on act 1.
Tbough a lot of that has been painful inventory management!

That is horrible I have to say.

Radial organising and loot organising is a chore.

Remember to horde all your scrolls, potions, and arrows ‘just in case’, that definitely didn’t happen to me.

I found the inventory good. Have it all sorted by type. Dump stuff at camp that you dont need to carry around, easy to pop there and back to pick it up again and make sure you add stuff to wares so you can 1-click sell.

Its more the radials and the sorting in the character sheet

It seems to be all Jumbled up even with sort.

For example
Why aren't all the bows, daggers, clubs etc all side by side?

There are scrolls next to tat. It's like sort doesn't work properly. Filter is fine.

Also.. Applying hunters mark. The spell is on the radial. But every time I cast it I have ty readd reapply to the radial.

I think I've used 2 or 3 scrolls in 60 hours!

Unless I'm on deaths door, I won't use them.

Got destroyed properly for the first time 2 nights ago. A nasty fight appeared without being fully rested. By far harder encounter in 60.hours of play.
My first reload that would have been a tpk.

Sorting by type should group them together? Unless you have a bug.
Radials? Are you playing with a controller?

This is hilariously true; I keep forgetting to use elixirs too! Currently in act 3, already at level 12, and truth be told, there is little challenge to fights now. Playing with a friend has really opened up my eyes on the game mechanics, so am looking forward to replaying on the tactician level.

Is there a way if I pick something up on my main character it'll automatically go to a party member? I keep looting everything and getting encumbered then have to mess around sending stuff to other party members to get the weight down.

I find it fairly easy at tactician with some surprise hard fights.
Ie the one I just did.
Basically activated something and a huge boss came out.

Suspect it will be too easy at act3.

I have deliberately not taken broken things. Like
tavern brawler.. Broken.
Alert... Broken. (alert is so easy to fix, not. Sure why it's left broken)

Interesting. This is my first play through and pretty much stuck to a build, shadow blade hexnight or somesuch, which has been fun if somewhat repetitive. Friend controlled all the other party members.

The inventory management is a complete pain (playing via a PS5Pro), so am definitely not looking forward to controlling all companions by myself on the replay. Hopefully there are some mods available on the PS5 which eases that burden.

I mostly play cleric/sorcerer/bard in DnD tabletop and I've kind of stuck to same in BG3.

One of my companions is a barbarian and quite boring. Astarion is a rogue/ranger and not that exciting. I just get bored quick of martial classes.

But for me DnD. Isn't about DPS, it's role play and conversation. And it's amazing really how well this game is made out of combat. Entire quest because I used speak with animals.

Just had a weird thing happen.
I've just gotten access to hypnotic pattern. One of my favourites in table top.

I had the perfect scenario come up with 4-5 npcs all next to each other, 4 ghouls included . I cast hypnotic pattern and all. Ghouls failed due to low Wis. But none were hypnotised.

I can't find any reason for this. Even chatgpt didn't really have a Answer

Anyone know?
