- For warranty support and RMA replacement call Crucial Direct on 0800 013 0330 or 01355 586 100 who will replace your faulty memory within 48 hours.

not for me they wont.
i sent my ram off last monday and ive still not got the new set back.
ive recieved one email from them, albeit the most important one telling me the ram has been received their end. then i got a call from them last thursday saying id have replacements on monday.
still waiting.....

theyre obviously getting a serious amount of returns which is saying something about the quality of their product. im just expecting the replacement dimm's to be dodgy too after all ive been reading.

just had one of my Crucial 2GB (2x1GB) DDR PC4000 Ballistix Dual Channel Kit stick go on me :-(.

after seeing the amount of problems with these stick i feared the worst and now it has happened.

mine are CL1115t.8D

has anybody recieved any newer ones that seem to be able to take the 2.8v(500mhz) for more than 3 months :( .

mine were CL1115.xx too
ive known someone get newer sticks back and they went bad about a month into using them, its not looking good
:(

I got the 1116 batch just this week after rma'ing some 1115 stuff.
Straight into memtest at 260 @ 3/3/3/8 @ 2.8vdimm and i got errors on test 6 - which is a first for me. I was about to be annoyed when i swapped the dimms over and tried again and then they memtested all night error free - very strange.
The odd memtest error doesnt worry me as long as i see no BSOD's.
I will report back here if i have any probs.

just a quick note spoony, if you do get errors again in that memtest and if its the built in one on the board then try to use a different one just for double checking it

well i got my second set back from rma on saterday and guess what all day ive had nothing but BSOD after BSOD and memtest shows loads of errors so i will be asking for a refund.

well ive got a new kit this AM and instantly ran them at 250mhz @ 2.8v through a complete memtest session and they passed.
so ill take another look at it next week and shall continue to do so until they fail or i forget to as theyre alright.

thats what i thought until i took out 1 stick and everything was fine, then swapped sticks and guess what, BSODS (thats when i could get it to post).

Had same problem as you, just about to send mine back Cruical have very good customer service...

One of mine has just gone. Do you have to return both sticks of a dual channel kit? One is fine so at least I can keep my rig running.

The second set of mine that failed, I returned just the one stick that had failed.
I wish I'd returned both though, as the second one has also died now

im now back down to 200mhz 3-4-4-8 ram speed on my 250mhz 3-4-4-8 ballistix and only using 2.65volts....

the memory, even being actively cooled has slowly over the last few months got HOTTER and HOTTER, and it makes a buzzing/hissing noise when im playing games.... thats right, you can HEAR it making noises.

This surely has to be related to the failures. At any rate, i expect my 4th set to die before march, as the noises always was the last in the chain of events before failure of the last 3 sets.... I cant beleive this

:( this thread has got me seriously worried about my ballistix, if (when?) mine die i'm going to try and get a refund straight away. I'm not going to rma them every few months.

sure enough, the ram is now starting to fail at default timings.

so 3x PC3200 pairs dead
and 2x PC4000 pairs dead

what a waste of time and money
