Barbour Jackets...yea or nay?

Goes with the Range Rover and taking young Trixebell and Ewan to private school followed by lunch and shag of the golf instructor. I have little love of those who live the image of wealth while having 2p in their bank and these jackets are becoming one of the many tappings of being one of the 'It' crowd if you ask me. Farmers fine, 2 bedroom 180K house with 100K of leased cars, no, sorry. ;)

Hahaha.

I don't like to put labels on people by just what they wear but the rest of what you've said, like the cars and golf lessons. Spot on.

People that feel like they need to display little tokens of how well they're doing in life but are actually just asshats. Makes me cringe too.

Much nicer.

People at university where them these days?! Hmmm.

Housey, you must know me more than I think you do. For all you know I have fifteen labradors and my daughters have private piano lessons every Saturday morning ;).

I don't think you can read that much into it tbh.

I have a few Barbour Jackets, they are very hard wearing, I'm not fussed on the 'Fashion' side of things I just wear stuff that fits well and is made to last, as long as you re-wax them every couple of years they are great jackets and they look better with ageing/Weathering to me, I hate the way they look 'New'. Yeah I have a Lab too ;)

Yeah, all the rahs wear them. That and oil skin jackets with Hunter wellies. And gilets.

Fashion fags, lol!

Just to be clear, I don't want to try and look rich. I am not rich nor do I have a farm or lots of property or a Range Rover. I just quite like the style. I have a jacket that costs a bit more than this now, I don't really follow the line of thought that a distinctly averagely priced jacket is worn by people that want to look well-to-do.

That quilted thing looks hideous, or would look hideous on someone trying desperately to follow fashion.
Leave it to the horse owners and go buy some superdy.

Can't beat a proper Barbour wax jacket though, had one since I was little because I live on a farm in the country. Not because I'm some poncy **** in a rangerover sport trying to look like I'm wedged up.

Superdry? For a 30 year old, really? I always thought that Superdry was worn by young people, not 30 year olds trying to look like young people.

gonna get a coat when Im next home. Im off out in a barbour Cardigan right now :)
