people are bashing the coat saying its for old people, but they were really popular about a year ago among the rich -bordering on chavvy types- i'd guess the coats are going the same way as superdry coats though(unfashionable because they're too popular), but then again you're 30 so you shouldn't really be caring about fashion trends to the hour....

Most lads between 16 to 23 wear them then people grow out of it. I have saw the odd 30+ wearing them but it just looks strange.

100 odd quid for a waxed cotton jacket? That's an awful lot of money for the brand name.
There's better value waxed cotton coats out there - unless you want the brand name you shouldn't spend more than 50 or 60 quid, probably much less.
Bear in mind that if you wash it (or after lots of use) you will have to reproof it, which can be a very nasty messy job - which is why barbour charge you 22.50 to do it for you, plus a turnaround of 4-6 weeks....

Every douche around has these now, along with their new wave haircuts. They were cool a few years back now the masses have jumped on them.

get a proper wax jacket if you want to look 'rurban' (rural/urban)

I have this. Quilted overshirt sort of thing. I do have a cheap quilted jacket from Topman though.

These things really are everywhere. I first saw a "quilted jacket" over a year ago (Voi oddly) and i thought they'd never catch on.
