BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

I look forward to hearing about people's opinions and colour setting choices when I get back from work this evening!

No idea on HDCP. The OSD is fairly standard, options for colour, heat temps, nothing unexpected. Choosing between VGA/DVI is in the 'miscellaneous' menu. It works fairly well as it doesnt deviate from what you expect, so is nice and user friendly.

ok first impressions:

its very light. lighter than my 22" dell e228 infact. the stand is utter shash but that was to be expected - the screen isnt very stable on it.

turned on, the colours arent too bad at all. i just straight swapped over with the dell, still running 1680x1050 and it scales well:)

Samsung S-PVA LTM240M2-L02 1920x1200 6ms G2G 1000 : 1 500 178/178 16.7m < think that must be the panel. its only 1 i can find that fills the spec of the monitor.

james.miller whats picture qual on native res like ?

Mine won't be here till tomorrow (think the guys were snowed under yesterday) so i'll be watching this thread very carefully as i still have "should have got a pebble" ringing in my ears!

Not bothered about 1:1 or HDCP as my 360 & PS3 are in the lounge hooked up to a 1080P 40" Sammy M87. What really matters to me is image quality, Desktop space, gaming at 1680x1050, Dead/Stuck pixels and hopefully not too shabby looking.

Anyone else with dead/stuck pixels?

Just got mine and i'l agree that the stand isnt stable but it looks as good as my 19" CRT.
Played COH OF and COD4 and although i'l admit ive only ever used a CRT for gaming, this screen looks just as lovely as the CRT.
The desktop looks lovely as well. Cant see any ghosting or dead pixels.

So far:

No dead pixels on mine

Stand seems okish (I am using it on a swivel chair at the moment so a bit hard to tell)

Out the box settings are basically the worst thing ever, and need to be changed instantly out of the box, but once you do it looks great!

I was amazed it came at 9AM! Normally I am still waiting for Citylink at like 3PM!

Will write a proper review later :)

are you guys running on dvi or vga? im wondering if the OOTB settings are a problem on dvi only, because my monitor is quite passable without any tweaking. a little on the blue side but nothing major lol.

no dead pixels on mine either
