BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

Still can't make up my mind whether to go for the cheaper DGM or just go for Mr Reliable, the BenQ FP214W. Which OcUK seem to be getting back in stock, hopefully it will come with the latest revision/firmware.

Anything but the BenQ, it looks horrible. :p

Don't like the stuff around the sides of the screen, looks nasty compared to my old BenQ which has a more much simplistic style.

Ah that's the one, the FP241 looks much better. :)

Although if choosing the BenQ over the OcUK I'd probably go for the Dell 27" to make up for the big price difference on the same size monitors, would be too temped.

yeah that looks nice, don't know if I could sit far enough away from the monitor for it to look sharp though.

If it's any help I sat about 60cm away from a 37" 1920x1080 HDTV and it was razorsharp, but now I use that as a TV again so I can be on the PC while watching Jeremy Kyle, a 27" won't be far behind a 24" in terms of sharpness though.

Interesting, think I may just have to take the plunge, otherwise I could spend the next few months deciding whilst spending my cash on smaller pointless things.

Can anyone confirm a few things for me please? Thread is huge so I dont want to trawl through it all. :(

Are these deff *va panels now? I heard some were tn?

what is meant by poor vga performance? This just mean connecting via vga cable not dvi?

Thanks

I have said it about 8 times on the last few pages.

These are VA screens and are guaranteed to be as listed in the description. :)

I have two computers (a Mac and a PC) both connected to both my 20" Samsung and this 24" DGM. The Samsung shows little difference between VGA and DVI inputs, the VGA input on the DGM shows a slightly larger difference. It's not that serious - just remember this is a £230 monitor not a £400 monitor.

Hi,

Not sure if this has been asked before but can this monitor be hooked upto a DVD player? Is there an adapter which would do a scart connection to a DVI/VGA connector?

So are these better for 2D/video image quality, not gaming? I have a Samsung 245B which is TN, I believe these suffer from less lag/ghosting than TA?

hi i have Purchased the L2332WD-VA 24"
when turning on the screen the bottom of the screen flickers slightly for 30 seconds or so, also when turning of the screen discharges with a high pitch noise and a flash of the screen this is nothing i have seen in all the years i have used tft screens.
anyone have this problem

Yay! My replacement arrived today from OcUK, great turnaround time (collected Thursday, Replacement Tuesday) and didn't have to deal with Digimate at all. If you go back a few pages you'll see that I could no longer display 1920x1200 over DVI because the display had messed up after I did a reset on the OSD so I RMA'd it. It's from the B Grade stock which means the packing isn't new but the screen seems perfect and has no dead pixels like my previous one did. The only thing is that I send my old one back with the tape on the LED so I've got to go and cut another pice to cover it.

I thought that I would have to deal with Digimate as I've heard people waiting weeks for a replacement and poor customer services from them.

How old was your monitor when it broke? Seems a bit naff to get a second hand replacement. Although this seems to be the norm with TFT warranties?

It was about 8 months old when it broke. The screen itself is in great condition but some of the packing was missing and the DVI cable was not the one provided, it's dirty and had some bent pins which I had to straighten but it works.

I'd rather have a B grade replacement that takes 4 days to turnaround rather than trying to deal with crappy customer service from Digimate and having to wait weeks if not months for a replacement. I'm not sure if OcUK stepped in for the replacement procedure because I'm sure people were going to Digimate before (from earlier posts in this thread).

I'm happy though as it works fine and is the AU-M240UW01-VO panel with no stuck/dead pixels compared to the first (had one stuck on blue).
