Baroness Thatcher has died.

Great post. Most opinionated morons can't tell you the first thing about politics but hey, everyone hates <insert name here> with a passion because everyone else does. Or the red t

She was a GREAT leader that was faced with tough decisions which she made with no regard to uneducated public opinion. She left the UK a much better and stronger country than she found it.

Exactly this; I doubt many of those which could have taken her place would have done as good, or better job than she did.

I don't "do" politics. I generally abstain, I don't have a party of choice if I do vote. But Thatcher was good for our country and as per above; She left the UK a much better and stronger country than she found it - This rings true and says it all.

Look at all the deleted posts, it's a shame to think OCUK members aren't mature enough to handle something like this. Alarming, really.

Ask your average moron why they hate Maggie, and they'll regurgitate red top excrement.

I was either not born yet or too young to care about politics when she was in power, however nobody can deny that she was an excellent and strong leader who did not shy away from the tough decisions (unlike the recent Prime Ministers that we have had).

I can understand that the people adversely affected by those tough decisions will dislike her though and I respect that.

RIP Maggie.

The way I see it, it's mainly the industrial towns who hate her, simply because she wasn't prepared to plough money into an unprofitable industries. People slate her for the sinking of the belgrano too, but war is war.

Another thing I find distasteful is that all the Liverpool fans (well, many of them) have taken to Twitter to mock her death when they're the first people to start wetting themselves when someone mentions the Hillsborough disaster in anything other than a positive light.

Didn't expect anything different? :p.

As I said;

~some will be pleased
~some will be saddened
~some will be on their high horse about people who are pleased

I did forget to mention the jokes and trolling and people who over step the mark.

Death threads are always interesting, there are loads of hypocritical views, that's a discussion for another day :p.

RIP, and lol at the people too young to remember just how bad the country was when she took over.

This. But take into account that it's 'cool' to hate Maggie as it is to hate Blair. It's not as if your average dummy knows anything beyond what's sold to them by moronic media. Look at any Facebook conversation for new depths in stupidity.

This country was on hard times before she came to power. It was left much stronger and more competitive when she left. She made tough decisions with zero regard for political ass-covering. I admire that.

It's just the stupid working class with the derogatory comments. Maybe if they sat down and learned at school instead of ****ing about, they wouldn't be working class? Just a thought.

Absolutely, but that's what's in popular society is it not? There were hard decisions to be made, but ultimately they paid off in the long run.

As Boris says: "Very sad to hear of death of Baroness Thatcher. Her memory will live long after the world has forgotten the grey suits of today's politics."

And he's right, her image will live on longer than those around us - but her achievements might be dwindled and clouded under muddy water.
