'Our', as if its yours that you somehow played a part in developing rather than simply happened to live in not-even-that-close proximity to :p

Perhaps you should have tried.

It was 1974, I was 16, told by many there was no chance so it was pointless when I had already been accepted for the Navy and Michelin Tyre Company so I spent 1 month on HMS Tiger (well not on it) and then went to the Mich.

I'm not going to start believe it until you have at least 10% of Stoke on here, espousing the same thing. :D ;)

I make that 10% (of the Stoke people with an IQ over 10)

I think it's pretty sad what people are saying. If you didn't like her then your anger is only winding you up I doubt she ever gave a stuff when she was alive. And if you aren't angry then why post such disgusting things. One of my overriding memories as a kid was my dad telling me we'd come to this country and all would be fine and it would be a great move and I got here and we spent half the time it seemed filling the bath up for the water strikes and buying candles. I wondered why on earth we'd come to such a backward country.

I'm hardly in her fan club for what she instigated in many places but she made a big difference and challenged something that needed challenging. If only we had somebody like that now.

England's rose is English.

Scotland's thistle is Scottish.

;)

That's the kind of comment you regret saying, i would try to refrain from them.

I'm voting yes so I won't regret it if it passes, I am just aware that it will not whereas Biohazard talks as though it has already happened. Anyway as pointed out this isn't really a discussion it's worth getting into.

Gutted, I loved her in Spitting image!

edit: and on a lighter note jason2 finally achieved his dream and got a suspension. Congrats.

I can't say I would agree with many of her policies but I would say we could do with someone like her to stand up and represent our country. Our current lot are barely recognisable, apart from that all I have is a vision of Blair visiting America bending over for that 'special relationship'

“Margaret Thatcher’s government was defined by overseeing the greatest ever transfer of wealth from the bottom of society to the top. In the name of little people, she handed billions to the richest in tax cuts and de-regulation, a theft from which Britain has never recovered.”
