i have to take issue with this - to suggest that people were really nice, helped everybody out and that after thatcher everybody became nasty greedy people is frankly ridiculous. She didn't change human nature - nobody is capable of doing that.

out with Thatcher!!

Before Thatcher a home was a place to live in, not exploit for profit and personal gain. A home was a place to nurture a family and enjoy life, no matter if you owned it or not. :rolleyes:

If Thatcher never came to power New Labour would not exist as it did !! Same cloth different coat!!!

So it was also New Labour's fault as well as Maggie's? Or just Maggie?

And a genuine question but did you have experience of the world before Maggie or is the point about the world being different before her based on friends/family/other sources?

There was a little kid about 5 years old who they were showing on Sky News earlier chanting something against her.

Total disgrace to all humanity that kid's parents. Watching that completely ruined my night. Cant stop thinking about the copious amounts of **** and immorality that poor boy will be taught, amongst thousands of thousands of children with parents like his :mad:

Well I'm back tracking.

Anyone who actually looks at the facts can clearly see that Thatchers policies made perfect sense - my earlier posts were obviously flippant and meant to be in jest for the most part, and betray a massive ignorance of any precise and thorough understanding of the underlying issues, and with clear/unfounded bias/influence from those whom understand even less.

And in all seriousness, the people partying in the street are clearly idiots - young, stupid, ignorant, naive people with mere conception at best of what exactly they are supposedly celebrating. Idiocy on an unprecedented scale. These people have no sense of gratitude and would probably proceed to do even less intelligent things if given half the chance. I don't condone any mindless action, or indeed any unthoroughly researched opinion. Spare me your tuppence and I'll spare you mine - let's have some facts, not anecdotes/spin.
