tap right mouse not hold, and wait for enemy to get closer before blocking as the light thing above their head dosn't always mean 'block now'

i know what you mean though, it can get annoying having 1 control for 2 things :)
 
i am liking this game a lot, combat is a bit repetative but apart from that its all good

having played a section of the game at work with PhysX and played the game at home on my CF 4890's

i am having a hard time figuring out what all the fuss is about with physx

it still runs fine on an ati setup

i cant understand why a lot of the press are marking it down for the inclusion of a gameplay characteristic that [i have to confess] adds little to the actual game itself
 
ooh - it should play alright on that

i played it on an 8800gt yesterday and it was fine at max settings at 1680X1050
 
PhysX is great, I could have got it for a console, but I support PC gaming and the stuff like breaking walls, tiles, real smoke/vapour and PAPER justifies the realism just a little bit more.
 
started playing it yesterday, its a really awesome game, so much to do.

i got 13/20 upgrades, 133/240 riddler trophies and 42% into the story.
 
Just upgraded to the patch and loving the game even more.

I installed a 8600gts that I had lying about and it's made quite a difference.

I love the depth the game goes in to with the character bio's.

Well my installation was faultless but when I run the game I only appear to be running v1.0 :( Before I start playing, I'd like to be right up to date - so is there a way to manually get the update/s? The patch/s don't appear to be on any of the usual game update sites?

Can't remember exactly but iirc it's when you log in to Windows Live and go online. With mine it did a Windows Live update and then a game one.

You also get the free DLC by going through Windows Live and then to the market place.


edit: And great game btw, loving it. :) Though splitting my time between this and RE5 at the moment. Nice to have some good new games to play, so want them to last a bit.
 
Must admit it is a great game. I love the riddlers challenges and the game is packed with lots of things to do! I can see me playing this well after completion just to find the hidden stories (the asylum storyline is actually quite weird!)

I'd recommend it to anyone!

Loving this game so much.

Right from the first trailer I knew it'd be right up my street.

And yep, the scarecrow freaks me out so much !
 
started last night at 1am, played until 8am, then again from 5pm to 10pm and finished it, collected everything but at 84%.

I really can't be bothered playing the challenges though so it doesn't look like I'll be getting any higher % wise.

Great game, really enjoyed playing it, last game that I played like this was Dead Space. Game wasn't really dark enough for my likings, but I also found I spent 98% of the time running around in detective mode to make sure I didn't miss anything.
