*Batman: Arkham Asylum*

Meh, finally done it. Don't care about finishing it now :(

Edit: Finished it. Only took 15 minutes so I took longer to kill 16 men than I did to play the rest of the game.

What the hell am I doing wrong?

I've started the game fresh twice over, first time I got about over a quarter of the way into the main story, my save disappeared.

Then I started again, got to about 80% near completion of the main story and today my save has disappeared again?!

If you have done some of the combat challenges (or do them now) you may find this bit much easier as it gets your practice up on combos, evading etc.
Spent quite a lot of time over the last few days trying to do the combat challenges and I'm not even close to getting the lowest score needed for a bat. Did all the predator challenges, including the downloadable ones, in two or three goes. Can't believe some people have managed scores in the millions.

The secret is doing each round in a single flowing combo, without getting hit, using a variety of Batman's moves (all of them if you can).

Doing all rounds without getting hit = 5000 bonus.

End long combo's in ground and pounds for a good bonus and you can get 15-20,000 a round easily.

Knowledge isn't my problem, it's a severe lack of ability. If I could string together multiple hit combos and finish the round without getting hit I would :p

Finally finished the combat challenges and got the 100% achievement. Thought the earlier challenges were far harder due to the lack of opponents and the later very easy. Was worried about Shock and Awe Extreme but I spammed the grappling hook and did it on my third attempt

Apart from fighting the 16 men in the tunnel for the the party pooper achievement (literally took me as long to do that as it did to play the rest of the game) it's probably my game of the year.

Just got a 60+ odd combo one one of the combat challenges, one of the the big guys just stood there so I spammed him with punchs, had to put explosive gel on him so he could crouch down to finish him.

The rest of them I am struggling to 3 medal. I go for long combos using power punch and instant finish on the guys with knifes and stuns. I have tried going for variation combos but usually mess it up.

I guess I just need to keep zipping around building up the combo and use the special moves when I can (without ruining the combo)? Then making sure I can use a ground takedown at the end?

It's easy in theory just difficult in practice :(

I assume I'll get 100% when I get all 3 medals on each challenge?

Wow this game is great lol ok so am a bit late to the party, i got it second hand on the PS3 (my forth game lol woot) and its great some riddles are a bit annoying but its the best superhero (the fact that batman has no super powers makes it even better) game there is :D bring on AA2 is all i can say :p

definatly one of the best games of this generation. loved it and once i completed it i ran around and completed all the riddles, it was great but all i had left at the end was a pair of teeth to destroy and it took too long to find them as you dont get the hints for teeth.

i need to complete the challenges now as id live to 100% it.

It is extremely good I've completed it three times(first game in years I've felt like doing that). Nearly to 100% percent completion. I didnt have to cheat to complete all the riddles(except one).

I'm just having fun playing the challenges, seeing how high I can get me score.

I hope they don't muck up AA2 by rushing a release out.

This

I dont care if we dont see it till Christmas 2011 to be honest as long as they dont just ruin what could be a great franchise by just bringing out Batman AA 1.5

I did love the first game though, only downside is unlike Uncharted and MW2 it doesn't quite have the replay factor for me, since I completed it I've never once thought about going back to do it on Hard

Same, and as much as I want 100%. The combat challenges are pure fustration

The combat challenges are the most fun, its like a dance when you really know what you are doing.

Just dont button bash, you can even delay for quite a while before making the next move in the sequence, its sometimes necessary.
