I think they were holding the PC version or delayed it because of certain specific full feature sets, like Nvidia 3D Vision 2 and BF3 3D Vision, although the BF3 patch which will contain 3D Vision support amongst other fixes has no exact date for download.
I really dislike it when a games publisher/developer give no reason for the delays and i absolutely dislike staggered platform releases, especially the ones just to appease the powers that be or money grabbing despots

Hang on, am I missing something crucial here? Either mcv or ign reported a while ago that pc version was going to be delayed another week. Why were you lot expecting steam to unlock it before the release date?

Yeah, it is just to rake in as much money as possible from sales for the consoles and in the game developer/publishers view to "avoid PC piracy".......
Absolutely no reason for this long of a delay unless there were serious problems, which would/should have been reported every where then or they are putting a lot of extra work into the PC version (highly unlikely that though).

Exactly we all knew it was wrong, we were told ages ago it would be another week. We kept saying Steam was not updated but people still thought it would be out today

Errr well just a quick look at one page or one website about release dates would have told you. So yeah I find it very hard to believe people would not check a day before release that everything was OK with my order.

Steam is my first port of call for the release date of a game I've already pre-ordered ON steam. Come on, think about it. I saw release date change after i pre-orderd it, then I checked on here to see what was going on. There is no reason why anybody why anybody buying the game on steam would have thought any differently unless they saw the info somewhere else already. Well hey, i didnt. You get that, right?

the game is already added to my account and as late as 5 o'clock this afternoon it was saying it would unlock in 4 hours.

You know what I have forgotten what exactly this is about. You thought it was going to unlock but it didnt, unlucky, every major website told us weeks ago. You don't have to be online or on a forum everyday to check.
But hey I dont care either way, I knew it would not unlock.

I probably should mention also that page one of this thread doesnt say anything about the release date, in fact a quick read of the first 100 posts does reveal anything. It doesnt say on the official website either. It does on their forums, fair play, but wow like im going to check their forums for the release date of a game that as far as i'm concerned was today, up to 3 hours ago.
