Batman Arkham City - Thread

As compboyo said, of course the 6870 will run it well, 6870 is still a damn good gaming card, you will only struggle if you play at a ridiculous res.

My 4850 easily maxes this out, apart from AA set to 2 and motion blur off (turned off cause I hate motion blur) and it runs as smooth as silk.

I tried DX11 since patch at 1920x1200 res on extreme settings with high tessellation i am averaging about 30fps so it's definitely playable for me(ok the fps could be better but 30 average seems ok for this game) using 285.79 drivers.

Before the patch it was like 10fps and constant stutter.

Anyone else get insane slowdown in some areas to the extent where the sound drops sync? 6950 modded+2500k etc... most things are fine on DX11 but for instance if I goto crime alley it drops to about 6 fps and starts going mental.

It is a problem with dx 11, still, even after the patch, not your PC.

Turn it off and play in dx 9 mode and the game will be super smooth, you won't notice the difference that much unless you are really trying to look for the differences.

Hmm, just drivers or/and the game that needs sorting (so much for the PC version being worked on for an extra month............) then as obviously 2x560TI are extremely capable of maxing the game fully out with good FPS.

No problems on my PC in sig at max settings at 1080P (AA set to 2 and motion blur off), runs as smooth as silk.

It's definitely the game.

I've tried previous drivers, the latest official ones and beta drivers.

I can run BF3 (when it works) on Ultra settings as long as I keep AA to x2 or less and my PC will maintain 60 FPS or above, both cards at over 95% GPU usuage all the time.

Batman will only go over 50% GPU usage if I use 1 card and turn AA upto stupid levels. At the settings the game defaults to GPU usage never goes above 35%.

And I did a fresh install of Windows about a week before the game came out.

Guys where is the cheapest place to buy this game?

Or should I wait for steam christmas sale as it is currently £34.99 on steam :(?

Also are the robin and nightwing dlcs worth buying?

So last night my 74% save game was corrupted after a crash. Not happy at all. I made a back up at 65% luckily, but thats not the point. Anything else I buy that doesn't work how it should would be returned for a replacement or a refund. What a joke.

On a positive note I'm 26th on the leaderboards for the last combat challenge room.

I could answer that question, but its against the rules.

Edit*
Overclockers are not currently stocking Arkham City, so have a look on the 'hot water vapour' sale that is currently running!! :p
