i managed to play this game for about an hour today, then it decided it wasn't going to work...

had the well documented issue of it saying the game key is already used with GFWL (what a massive pile of **** that is...), but i can bypass that.

now, the issue: load into the menu screen, choose to continue my save, looks like it's about to load then nothing... just a black screen. if i press escape it brings up the options menu, but nout else happens :confused:

been googling this for over an hour now, and am genuinely ****ed off! anyone know how to get around this?

e: just tried to start a new game on an empty save, does exactly the same thing.

Ok, i've lost my savegame twice now. Had a backup from a bit earlier this time, but this is getting silly

One of my friends lost his save as well, so remember to back up!

managed to fix my issue by deleting a few folders in my docs. games running sweet now

Just remember to back up your save every time you finish playing. Deletion or corruption is very common. It happened to me after I had finished the campaign and I was just collecting trophies and doing challenge maps. Around 10 hours worth gone because I got lazy backing up.

Any of you guys get screen tearing?

I have vsync disabled and in game when I move about it is as if the screen is lagging and trying to play catchup with my directional movement.

Ok I dont get it... just loaded this game up and I believe it is currently set to DX11.
(I did upgrade to the 11.12 Cats)...

It is helluva lot smoother than before!

I think the newest AVP, just beats it by a bit though, iirc it is 18-21GB! :eek:

The controls are awfull.

The game seems pretty boring, all you do is push people and dance around like you're on strictly come dancing.

The detective bit is boring.

I've not actually bothered just exploring yet, is this the best bit? Can I talk to people and go round and find things?

Aha, someone with an opinion of the game similar to mine. I bought this because of all the hype to discover it's just a button masher for high end rigs. Yes it's DX11 and all, and nice on a PC but the gameplay is 100% designed for consoles

no stealth? in the originial i loved lurking on gargoyles watching thugs roam around, biding my time to pounce..
