Same for me as well, only started using the gadgets near the end of normal campaign. Combat is soooooo much better when you get strings of combos using the batclaw etc.

Do you mean just the basic take down? lft Ctrl and right click? Make sure you don't use it when people are around you, always try doing it myself, but get hit in the end before I knock the guy out and he gets back up

No there is one where when u reach 8x combo you can press 2 buttons and batman jumps in the air and is supposed to incapacitate everyone who is on the floor.

This was why i loved arkham asylum!

No idea why it doesn't work for you

Maybe you have to look around at all the people on the ground, whilst in the air?

and indeed! The combat for this game is sooooooooo good! I love the multiple counter attacks!

i notice his vid says 15X special combo i've been trying at 8X wonder if thats why . If so then DOH

Ah eureka i did it at 8X combo, i enabled the tutorial and tried pressing the buttons when prompted and i took out 3 guys

I really should get back into this and fully complete it, currently at 87%, I think. Still got a few trophies to pick up and challenges.

People have to be on the floor for it to work against them. Also your combo 'meter' needs to be yellow or red to show you can use a special move

I'm still playing Asylum at the moment and it's one of the best games I've ever played.

They did an amazing job capturing the feel of playing Batman . . . the way you move around stalking, the gadgets and the melee combat are all extremely satisfying. Asylum runs like butter so I hope AC is optimized pretty soon, can't wait to play it!

Got this game about 2 months ago, thought id try it. I loved the first one and it ran perfectly on my rig(see sig) I try this game with everything on and dx11 etc and its gone down to 10-30fps. My pc should storm this console port easily, i will be getting a better graphics card probably about september so ill go back to it then.

It is not your machine, Rocksteady released this game with DX11 broken, it has had one patch which made it a bit better. We are all still waiting on Rocksteady to release another patch to fix DX11. Some people get save games wiped as well :S

Yea as above it's not your machine. Make sure Arkham City's up to date and that you're running the latest Cats drivers. The drivers helped a lot for me, but for now that's the best you can do.

Im in no rush i got lots of games i got to finish. And i dont mind waiting until i upgrade my card sometime this year.

Finally got this running properly with DX11 on extreme detail preset (so everything on dx11 on max), with physicx on normal and using FXAA on high. Runs like butter with those settings, yet proper MSAA or high physics turns the game into a stuttery mess which isn't linked to actual system performance but bugs :S
