Batman Arkham Knight - Official Thread!

I completed all the DLC the other week, didn't really take long and didn't make a lot of sense considering the true ending of the game.

Anyway, performance (which I honestly never had a huge problem with anyway) was super smooth.

4k/Highest settings
Dedicated PhysX GPU.

A fresh install of windows 10 made this games performance so much better, plays perfectly on W10, before on w8.1, it ran very well but there was still moments of stutter every now and then, wasn't much different to other games performance tbh but my main issue was the constant crashing especially with the 3rd/2nd last patch, happened after 5 mins every damn time, now no crashing.

iirc kaiden (guy who fixed the game with the mod tool) said w10 handles memory compression or something a lot better than previous windows versions.

I've been playing this game over the past week and after all the talks regarding performance, I have been very surprised that my PC runs it without any problems. Great game so far.

Well Warner brothers can keep their game and until it come down in price to something under a £5 im not going to pay any money for a broken a game. I bet this game goes down in history for how aweful this has been for everyone who has bought it

I bought it last year at launch and completed it within a couple of weeks and loved it. Apart from missing some effects, it has been flawless for me and many others I know who have played it. WB messed up big time but it is one of the most enjoyable games of 2015 for me. By all accounts, it is running very well now for the majority.

I got it on release, never got round to playing it and didn't go back to it cos of the issues other people were having so just left it in the steam library. Got round to playing it the past week or so and it was flawless. It's a shame it released under so much negativity (blame who you will) but in terms of raw game play, mechanics, story line and finally visuals after fixes it is a fantastic game and it is a big shame that it released the way it did.

I think if they'd taken the controversial and ballsy decision to delay and release it now it would have rave reviews and be a contender for some GOTY awards at various publications. Possibly even be mentioned in the same breath as FO4, W3 , MGS:PP etc. Not tried the DLC, don't feel that it will add much to the game but there's always a Steam sale around the corner.....

It certainly was one of the worst game launches I can ever remember. I just hope WB learn from it, as Batman games I really enjoy.

Do not do the Knightfall Protocol mission until the very end after you have completed all over DLC otherwise you get stuck with the lame snow FX instead of Enhanced Nvidia Rain FX!!

Only way to get rid of the snow if you already completed Knightfall protocol mission is to start a brand new savegame @ 0% according to the devs this is by design & will not be changed

Just on my 2nd play through now and about to complete it for the 2nd time.

Overall performance now is excellent on my rig so long as I turn down shadows everything else can be turned to max (although the in-game AA is a bit rubbish).

However I was getting the crashes a lot (usually on the gloating death scenes for some reason) but I haven't ha da crash since the cloud burst went off. That in itself is weird since the cloud burst buggered the game for me during my first play through.

Just complete the game to 100% and it was brilliant! The story was great, very good gameplay, the graphics good with no issues running on my PC, and the voice acting was 1st class, nothing like it. I only just found out who did the voice acting for all the different characters and it's great to see such great actors involved.

It's a shame the game was marred by all the launch issues as the developers have to be given a lot of credit for the game. That prevented me from getting the game initially and like many others I decided to wait for it to come in price first seeing as how people who bought it at launch had it refunded. But in hindsight now, I'd happily pay the full price for the game.

The only bonus is you get a different ending, which is considerably better than the normal one.

I did it because I'd done everything on City and Asylum.

Whether it's 'worth doing'? Debatable.

What are people's opinion on series ranking? I've played Arkham Asylum and City, but haven't tried Origins or Knight. Which one is better of the 2?
