I've just had an hour on this and wow !
What an AAA title. The graphics are superb and are the best ive seen on a standalone title. They match some pcvr titles. Shadows, lighting, details are all spot on.
I was blown away to be fair what the quest 3 can produce these days with the right games studio.
Gameplay and storyline are very good and it even gives you a bit of a workout in the fight scenes
I can see hours being put into this

Apparently you can push the graphics further with quest game optimiser.

I'm hoping to get a chance to play some this evening, but it's probably not going to happen for me. Thursday hopefully!

There's a chance I'm sending my family to London for a few days next week, so I'll have the house to myself.

I'm looking forward to playing this. I just wish there was a PC Version. I've read the resolution isn't that high which is one of my bugbears with the more ambitious games on standalone. I tried the Q3 version of Arizona Sunshine, and thought the actual graphics were quite good, the resolution was noticeably low. I way prefer the PC version for this reason. RE4 shows even a Quest 2 can render at native res at a decent level of detail.

It's very impressive for a native Q3 game. It does have that blurry soft look that games not rendering at full res exhibit though, which is disappointing.

The combat is pretty intense. I already smacked a controller into a door, luckily unscathed.

The production values are off the scale though. It sets a very high bar for other Q3 games.

It really does feel like the Rocksteady batman games, but in VR. So far it's pretty linear though. Not huge levels.

Can't believe how great this looks. As mentioned above the production values are off the scale. Atmospheric. I lost 2 hours without realising it. Really engrossed.

Only got to the first combat sequence. Thoroughly depressed that I forgot to try and vault over, cape stun, grapple, smoke or throw my batarang at them.

Loving it so far, going to need to adapt to using the index grips to grab the cloak instead of the middle finger ones.

OK, not sure how to vault over, and I don't seem to be able to use the grapple gun on people yet, so I forgive myself those two. Been using the rest though. Trying to keep up with the direction of the strike is tricky at times, lost my combo doing that. Switching between grab trigger and index trigger has confused me a couple of times too, ended up cape stunning when I meant to batarang etc. Just a matter of getting used to it, soon as I get a combat challenge open I'll be working on it.

Enjoying it so far though! Just had my first death in the first stealth room, got shot to pieces when I thought I was safe. Playing on hardest difficulty so I die quick! Second time round I just blitzed them, sod stealth, smoke bomb and beat them up.

A prop forward's guide to stealth games!! :p

Exactly! First guy stealth. Get spotted, crush everyone, victory.

Wondering exactly how the unlocks work though, since loads of skills are still locked for me, I have to assume it's storyline progression, but I'm getting forced to select things but I'd rather have other tricks to play with!

I do remember that for the most part, ballistic armour upgrades are a bit of a waste, if you're getting shot, you're doing it wrong. Not too far off the regular armour upgrades either.

Playing in spits and spurts, I enjoy the fact there's some armed enemies mixed in with the regular groups, targeting them first adds a nice layer to the tactical plan, since you can't just take them out instantly, you have to hit them, switch, and make sure you get back to the guy with the gun before he shoots!

Just done my first combat challenge room. That's a good workout! Quite happy with my score considering I don't have much unlocked, definitely room for improvement, but it's amazing how well they've translated the free flow system.

People have been getting it running on Quest 2 and Quest Pro (probably involves sideloading the game), and it actually runs sort of acceptably.
I'd love to try this on the Pro with its far better colours and contrast.

Also you can use Quest Games Optimizer to run the game at higher res on the Q3, which I might try. I find the resolution a bit low for my liking.

Get some wrist weights and have a proper workout!
