*** Battlefield 1 ***

Ran into my first hacker tonight, someone by the name of "v1tyaplant" using that one punch guy character as his avatar. Using the mp18 as a sniper rifle...:rolleyes:

Edit: Got what you were saying now. It's not a sim, the guns should shoot straight regardless whether it's set in ww1 or not. At the moment the machine guns (don't give a crap what they're actually called) spray all over the place.

Had a few decent games tonight. Loads of snipers though, can't stay still for more than a few seconds.

What assault rifles? Are you talking about the mp18? Its designated mp18 smg, which should give an indication of its range.

Assault rifles didn't come about til the stg44 in ww2.


One thing i noticed in the loadout thing on the career page no weapons seem to have a range status yet.

It says smg in the loadout, not hard to follow.

Shot a guy off a horse with it earlier :p Easy enough to use its just getting the chance to use it with the fighter planes flying around.

You do the same with the AT rocket gun to fire it without being prone, as long as you have something to deploy the bipod on you can fire

Ah i see, didn't look like he was deploying his bipod at all, my bad i guess :) thanks for clearing that up for me.

Yup, and you can get that in other games that aren't in the battlefield series.

If that's what you really want, there's loads of options out there for you, you're not limited to one franchise of games.

UPDATE: cheapest vpn currency i have found ultimate edition for is Poland = 448.00 PLN = 86 GBP
Uk price = £104 still saving quite a bit. haven't managed to find it any cheaper if anyone knows let us know.

Unfortunately you missed the boat for SA as they put the price up.

The prices were 549 standard, 849 Deluxe and 1349 Ultimate.

kinda sucks ehh.... that they can chop and chance prices of stuff even before release lol
hope there is another area thats cheaper though i think i have found the best deal we are going to get from this point forth and thats £86 for the ultimate.
 
I've been finding the burst fire mp-18 experimental is a beast for the assault class. I rarely get out gunned by the trench version in close quarters, and it's just a little bit better at range. Still not sure which support LMG I like the most, for closer engagements I think the Benet Mercie might be the one.

The cavalry class is so strong when they're not on a horse. Once you get to grips with the iron sighted russian 1895, you had a character that can take on snipers and medics with ease, has unlimited ammo and health packs and soaks more damage than a normal soldier.

I guess tonight is the last night of the beta if it finishes tomorrow. Not sure I can wait a month for the release.

I've been thinking about the specialist classes and wondered if it was possible to exploit the tanker class to get an invincible tank...

-Squad mate spawns on tank with multiple seats (gets assigned as tanker class), and then switches to a different seat.
-Another squad mate spawns on the tank, Do they get the driver's seat? Does this make the a tanker too?

If it was possible you could get a heavy tank with all five members of a squad in it each of whom have a repair hammer. Try stopping that tank..
