Alright lads,

To anyone thats playing this Is there hardcore mode ? if not iam going to give this a miss i personally hate the spongy bullet games ????

Looking forward to trying hardcore mode as well, but noticed the beta normal mode is quite well balanced in terms of damage, no where near the full clip single shot return death of BF4

Seeing as I asked this earlier and didn't get a response I assumed there probably wasn't so had to google it instead. Heres what I found:

There IS a Hardcore mode! But it's not as simple as before.
If you filter through the Server browser, you get a more specific search criteria. Instead, you get options like:
Bullet damage 50%, 100%, 200%
Soldier health 50%, 100%, 200%
Friendly Fire On/Off
Spawn time
Etc.

Although these are Hardcore qualities, there are no Official Hardcore servers.
I'm afraid these may categorize the game mode as an unranked Custom.
We'll see..
At least, that's what I've experienced within my 10 hour trial of the game.

They do indeed but for the sake of a few quid who really cares.

You can spend a £10 down the shop without blinking an eye. There is some decent games on there as well so it's not a complete waste.

People moan about feeding EA's greed yet they have the latest Samsung/IPhone every year at £600 or swap GPU's every year at £600 for a small performance increase and that's ok.

Indeed! Wish i hadnt played some of the big hits would be even better value! I like the service just never had the push to try it until now

I am absolutely awful at this game !

Also keep getting this error, I've tried re-installing drivers no success. (970GTX 4gig) so ram aint a problem.

I had that once too. I have a Fury Nitro, not overclocked, latest drivers. The BF1 forums is full of two types of bugs. People mentioning this and that the quick match screen is broken (can't leave it, get stuck starting at earth and it hangs on matching skill).

Two things i desperately want come release.

1, Hardcore mode.

2, A limit on ******* snipers.

On another note, i swear the hit detection is somewhat iffy at the mo. A few times i was still taking bullet damage from an enemy who had strafed round a corner.

Oh and quote of the decade last night when i watched some of Sacriels stream as a sniper. " I really need to stop spotting enemies as it makes its easier for my team to get the kills" What a ****

Unfortunately BF 1 is aimed at the COD base

It's really not.

It'd be a lot more obvious if it was.

EA has positioned TitanFall to be their 'CoD market grabber' FPS, while they leave Battlefield to do more of the large scale, vehicle-laden battles.

Dont confuse DICE trying to cater to infantry playstyles sometimes(with balancing and map design and all) as the same thing as catering to the CoD market. There's only so many vehicles to go around and infantry needs to be a balanced way to play the game.

there are hackers in every game.on release.


so nothing really to worry about.often it is just a excuse to put a game down.

cant stand hackers.done my fair share of tracking people down but...hacking cheating is just part of gaming now days.you cant stop it people will buy private hacks/public hacks and use em.

so no need to get a head sweat on about it.

Doesnt surprise me, hackers/exploiters are everywhere. That they exist isnt the fault of the game companies though, its the fault of the players who feel the need to hack/exploit. Its merely proof of certain peoples nature that if they can cheat , they will cheat, whereas most of us can cheat, but dont.
