Ok thanks. I just saw that I can get this for £8 new on eBay so I'm going to go for that.
Is there any videos or anything I should watch?

assuming you mean bf4, try and get the premium edition as it includes all the DLC

not sure about the videos, i always just play the game first
 
Had another go at hardcore today, not played since it's first release. Now people have 200% bullet damage but team tags are also turned on as well which was the main reason I hated it before not seeing people on your side. Enjoying it much more now.

Who prefers hardcore over normal?

It does seem a little easier, but harder at the same time, don't know which I prefer.
 
I've enjoyed it over the past week. Hit reg on the whole has been much better. Just hit 24 hours play time so starting to get used to it now I've found the sweet spot on my settings and slowly seeing my scores increase.

I'm away at gf's family this weekend but even sat in on a game last night as a spectator explaining to the gf what I've spent the last few weeks doing :D

tried that version of hardcore too, enjoyed it at first but its even more of a sniper fest than the normal mode..
with that and the lack of 3rd person view in vehicles, which wasnt so bad in bf3/4 as you didnt have anything blocking your view.. but in bf1, especially in planes you can hardly see half the screen

Recognise your name, was on the bad boys.de server with you earlier.

I pretty much play that mode exclusively and snipers are a pain but beats the nade spam and people just shooting at red symbols instead of actually looking for enemies.

Better risk/reward play imo to. You're not worried about crossing the street or a short open bit of land in normal mode as you can just run away from bullets. With 200% you either need cover or smoke to move about safely.

You will always get them games though when people are only playing for k/D so watch a choke point on map from distance to just get kills.
 
Yeah it seemed quite a good server, wish there was as UK server that was good.
Your right about shooting at red dots to get kills, it's good to see the end of that, snipers seems op now but probably cause there all one shot kills whereas there's a good chance before it was 2. If you keep moving it's still not a problem, normal mode seems harder though probably cause you need at least 70% of a clip to kill someone.
Will play some more today and come to a conclusion, only ever played HC before in bf3/4.
 
What a surprise. Two weeks since my temporary ban, Fairfight has now banned me permanently despite not cheating. Sent in an appeal but it was quickly denied.

After the 1 week ban I recorded every single game I played using Relive and uploaded them to Youtube (which was painfully slow). They didn't care though.

For the bans I've sent a total of 4 appeals, 10+ tweets, live chat twice, 2 Reddit threads with many comments and posted on the official forums. They mostly ignore me or send a template response.

Bit of a slap in the face really after playing since BF2. Not really sure what to do now.

Be thankful you got banned from a ****/casual game, which is dying quickly (only about 26k players on PC now...) and move on to something better :p

There is nothing you can do unless you become a big youtuber/streamer, they don't give a ****.

EDIT:

And for the love of god, even if you love the game... don't be a mug and buy the game again like what many people do, you are just rewarding them for their incompetency.

It is shrinking pretty quickly. Have been following the numbers and I'm surprised at how fast it is dropping. I wonder what it will be like in a few months, especially when the DLC will start to separate the player base. I suspect there will be a small surge in the weeks after it drops, but will soon return to these numbers.

You can rest assured that I have no intentions to rebuy the game :p. I did enjoy it, but no way am I paying again. Wasted so much time on the useless EA support and am incredibly frustrated that I was banned by Fairfight twice.
 
Yeah if i got wrongly banned from any game i wouldnt buy into it again... not matter how much i enjoyed the game

like nexus said too i dont think there is much more you can do.. just find something else to play :p

i enjoyed this game a lot for the first few months.. just wish i hadnt already bought the season pass before that new game hype wore off..
now i feel obligated to play whenever they release the DLC, cant imagine it will last long though

Can't say that I'm surprised, I called it from the alpha & beta but everyone was too caught up in the WW 1/new BF game hype to see all the flaws :p

DLC won't do anything imo, no doubt there will be an increase in players for the first week or so as most of the servers will add the DLC or even run DLC only but people will lose interest in the DLC maps as generally DLC is always disappointing + server owners see their server falling down the ranks (since not many people have the DLC so they can't play on said server). It is like our lot of about 5-10 when we played BF 4, DLC dropped, we play it for a few days and always end up back to vanilla even if the maps were pretty good i.e. final stand.

Good :p It always amazes me when people throw more money at companies for doing such things :o
 
I played this game for just over 50hrs before I uninstalled it, was amazing for first few weeks but that was mostly down to the graphics and it being a ww1 game, it slowly became apparent that all this game is a massive scale cod type twitch shooter that takes little skill, everyone runs round like headless muppets not caring if they die as longs as they get a kill or 2 first and imo its the WORSE battlefield game to date!

its an average shooter at best, bit bad that you were band for nothing but don't feel too hurt, just buy titanfall 2 and enjoy the real fps of last year :)
