*** Battlefield 1 ***

I'm actually getting closer to my original VfM target of 50p ph not the EA VfM target I normally have of £1ph- game cost me a total of £60 and I have 55h in already.

I have got 56 hours in bf 1 so far, considering I only started playing it like 3 5/6 weeks or so ago, that's not too bad :p

SWBF, I have got 62 hours in and that cost me £23 iirc.

I'll get premium/revolution at some point though as I am 95% certain I won't be buying SWBF 2 now, certainly not for the first few weeks/month(s) anyway given:

- games feels dead to play and less exciting than first one
- pay to win **** with all the cards and making it extremely grindy as a result
- no proper squad system, which is the final nail in the coffin for me

And destiny 2 is also looking to be a big fat flop as well now *sigh* :(

EDIT:

For some reason, the last 3 days have been great in bf 1 with regards to performance/FPS though, no longer getting the same FPS drops so I'm guessing DICE have done something on their end as nothing has changed on my end, hopefully the lag will now get fixed!

The game has felt pretty rubbish for a while now, decided to try some of the suggested fixes on the Nvidia forums: disabled the Xbox services in msconfig, ended the "Gamebar Presencewriter.exe" task after the game starts & rolled back to 378.78 Nvidia drivers.

The game honestly did feel smoother, certainly better than it's felt recently - it's really hard to describe, but my mouse just feels 'floaty', like I've got about half of the FPS FRAPS is telling me I have.

The few games I managed felt great yesterday evening, then it crashed half-way through a round as Windows 10 decided to auto-update my drivers to a newer branch, mid-game  Considering rolling back to a pre-CU build at this point.

I am really hating win 10 as of late. That stupid Creator's update has ruined a ton for me and its just such a hazzle to get the pc in a state now where microstutter doesnt happen. Win 7 works like a charm but is otherwise pretty dated but im seriously considering going back to that older platform just to be able to game hazzle free.

Bought Rising Storm 2: Vietnam today and thought it was pretty rubbish. Hadn't played BF1 since Christmas but went on it this evening and it is way better than I remembered! Must have been all the patches, new maps being compared to RS2:Vietnam haha :D

just wondering if you tried Warframe? ive been looking at gameplay of destiny 2 and it looks similar except warframe is 3rd person

might be worth a try if destiny 2 looked interesting to you

Yup played it for a bit and it is very impressive especially for a free to play game but got bored of it after about 10 hours, found it to be too samey :(

yeah it is very repetitive and grindy but according to the reviews i read so is destiny thats why i thought to mention it
but yeah if you only lasted 10 hours then i dont think its for you, i think i hit the 200 hours mark before the boredom hit :p

I had to roll back to before the creators update, to get stable BF1. I dont' know what windows 10 CU does but it isn't good for gaming.

Anyone on Origin wanting a game, as and when the twins let me get any gaming in, add me - SubbyTNA

I wouldn't mind a squad game or two in the future.

Yeah but destiny should have good dialogue and story to it, the lack/poor quality of that in warframe put me of too.

Then again, I was playing warframe by myself so that wouldn't have helped matters at all!

Apply to the platoon, you'll then be able to see and join on any platoon member playing whether or not they are on your friends list.
(On the bf1 home page, click on the platoons beta shield, search for "overclockers uk" and apply.)
