*** Battlefield 1 ***

I'm getting wierd sound issues at moment, during menu's and loading the music will start up then cut out and change repeatably and during the game the ambient sound/music will glitch and stop briefly then stutter back in. Only started recently and happened first after coming out of game then going back on later in day without turning PC off about 3 days ago.

On Windows 10 Home version 1709, BF1 Premium Pass, latest official AMD drivers for chipset and GPU. Latest BIOS, Ryzen 5 O/C to 3700 @ 1.375v, no O/C added to GPU.
Graphic settings Ultra, freesync, usually sits at 70-90fps and smooth, ping under 50 - wireless BB 5Ghz, happens when no server/system warning icons show on screen.
GPU Utilisation mostly 100%, CPU ~30%, VRAM usage shwoing well under 8gig, same with system Memory, Temps: GPU 75, CPU ~35.

Makes playing really annoying, also get it in BF4 which is a bit confusing as upto very recently again, never did..

Some googling comes up with other people getting similar but most complaints are console based, I've reinstalled all AMD drivers using clean install, deleted BF1 and redownloaded, changed Audio from Realtek HD Audio to Windows HD Audio - but that was worse and gave me a red screen of death :(
I'm at a loss :(

I had this last night and after a couple of hours banging my head on the desk, it turns out its the latest bios for Ryzen that causes this.

Try CPU at stock and all will be fine.

I have gone back to an earlier bios 3.30 on Asrock

Just taken OC off CPU and your right, everything back to normal! I've got a vague memory of MSI making it so there latest BIOS's cant roll backwards but I could be wrong. Didn't see any performance issues though so might just wait for next update for now. Did notice that in CPU options the option to disable the clock BOOST had gone and a p state option is now there (B350 Tomahawk MB) wonder if thats somehow related /strokesbeard

All the same, cheers mate!! :) can enjoy it again (when team balance works :p)

Should be a patch today, and by all accounts it has a new autobalancer. Hopefully the new autobalancer operates at the start of the round, in which case it should be a good addition. I'm not sure I'll be playing this game much longer it it operates mid round (Used to drive me mad in bf4 on certain custom servers where you would do all the work just to be switched to the losing team at the end of the round)

Hopefully it will be a good thing, it's terrible without it! Agree, hope it's at the start, it also used to annoy me when team switching near the end of the round.

Whatever they did in the last patch before today's has really fixed most of my performance issues. No more laggyness during general game play and FPS feels up.

I do still get jank when spawning in to a map tho sometimes.

Patch = high latency warning !? Never had it before hopefully just a coincidence.

Play less and less as the consistency is just ****. I think the last game I saw a few OCuK, I mean SALT players on, I could do little more than sit on flags as shooting and registering a hit felt more like luck than anything else. Another game and 50+ kills as inf. and dropping people as you would expect.

Why they felt it important to move the notification of nearby medics from the left to the right is beyond me. What point there was to that I don' get, just confuses me when all of a sudden I get a revive when I thought no medic is anywhere near as I'm looking bottom left

I’ve been away from bf1 and fired it up to play the new pashendale map but am getting regular cpu spiking in my perfect graph. Once a second maybe?? Anyone else getting this? My 3930k/980ti is getting about 95 FPS elsewhere with mostly ultra settings at 2560/1440 but these cpu spikes are in the 40 millisecond range. Any ideas??

They probably thought more people would see it being next to the Skip button.
