Battlefield 3 RETAIL Performance Thread

2560x1440 everything on Ultra im getting between 28-43 FPS in the campaign atm seems perfectly playable im not getting any stuttering.

I fixed the crashing with 10.11pre3 drivers.

i7 920 @3.5ghz atm and 6970 Xfire @ stock

I have one question and need conclusion basicly need straight answer :))

i'm buying new pc,part by part so now i need graphic card,

should i take Gigabyte SOC gtx 580 1.5gb which is pronounced for best single card or should i got for 3 GB card. Also if there is option 3GB there is new released gigabyte GV-N580UD-3I (same principe as SOC ,but it's not oc byt gigabyte) or to look for MSI lighting 3GB,later for maybe a year or so i would buy 1 more card for SLI...?

Configuration on which it will run is:

i7-2600k
Noctua NH-D14
(16GB) 8GB G.Skill DDR3 PC3-17000 2133MHz RipjawsX Series for Intel Z68/P67 (9-11-10-28) Dual Channel kit (2x4GB) +cooler (if i manage to fit it)
Maximus IV extreme-z mobo
Dell u2311h monitor
PSU OCZ ZX Series 1000W Max-Performance Power Supply 80+ Gold
case Cooler master HAF X RC-942-KKN1

so basicly i would run on 1920x1080p i guess...and also will do oveerclocks on CPU and graphic card (some 24/7 overclocks)

thx in advance..

this cant be right really!!
im able to play on high with (1680x1050)
8800gt overclocked to/core=750 shader=1820 memory=2000
amd phenom 965 overclocked to 3.8ghz
3 gig ram

it does not seem sluggish or anything.
i cant seem to use fraps in game so i cant see what the fps are.
i will still get a 560ti at xmas.so that will run evan better with that.
so im not sure if i should play the game with my 8800gt or wait till i get the 560ti.

Everything set on ultra, but used SSAO instead of HBAO. And haven't seen any slow down at all.

Vsync is also on so frames are capped to 60FPS.

I'll most likely test with HBAO on myself later.

Managed to keep the VRAM at around 1gb using my GTX 470. I think I had the settings on a mixture of high, but turned off all the AA etc

At 2560*1600 with an i7 (trip channel)@3.8 & 2 470s at stock I set all to High bar Textures/Shadows/Mesh and get a really smooth experience on SP & MP, around 42-60fps (vsnyc on, msaa off)

Very happy, looks fantastic!

1920x1200 Everything Ultra - Everthing else maxed out including 4MSAA HBAO MOtion Blur Fov 90 etc

70-90FPS tested on 64 man Caspain border map. might try 2600x1600 tonight based on above.

Running 570GTX 2.5GB SLI

gtx560

Everything on Ultra, MSAA disabled. Getting 50-70fps. Shadows also on medium as it eliminates the stuttering issue introduced by latest beta nvidia drivers. only playing on 1440x900 due to an interim monitor till i upgrade so i'm sure performance will drop to 40-60fps at HD.

system:
i5-2500k @ 4ghz + H60
4g ram
gtx560

2560x1600 every setting max, get between 60 to 120 fps depending on map etc.

My rig handles the open maps really well, much better than I thought and usually better than the street maps.

i'm getting 45-60 from what i remember seeing on caspian,

all HIGH settings
ambient occlusion OFF
AA settings at 2X and MEDIUM
motion blur OFF
1080p

thinking of getting another 5870 for crossfire but not sure if its worth it, anyone else running 5870 CF?

I was getting a lot of instability not only in BF3 but in Windows 7 aswell using 11.10 pre3 + CAP4.

God rid of both and installed 11.9 + CAP4 and my system runs smoother. BF3 is the same too. My GPU usage isnt as all over the place but neither card is at 100:

This is just plain weird??

Just you.

The drop as the end was because i windowed out to take a print screen.
