Battlefield 3 RETAIL Performance Thread

anyone got a 5870 running bf3?

i'm getting 45-60 from what i remember seeing on caspian,

all HIGH settings
ambient occlusion OFF
AA settings at 2X and MEDIUM
motion blur OFF
1080p

thinking of getting another 5870 for crossfire but not sure if its worth it, anyone else running 5870 CF?

according to tomshardware my card is doing just fine so no need to upgrade just yet :)

Just to mention - I'm on 6970 + 6950 in crossfire - 1920x1200 Ultra - Before I cross fired was about 43fps - after it pretty much doubled to 80+. Great crossfire scaling in this game!

Current system is: E8400, 4GB DDR2, IP35 Pro, HD5850 1GB, 1360 x 768 resolution. No overclocks/overclockers at all, everything is stock. 11.10 Preview 3 AMD drivers and using Windows 7 x64 HP.

Settings are mostly high, except no MSAA using FXAA instead and no ambient occlusion. Getting around 35 - 45 on Caspian/Kharg Island MP, 40 - 60 on other MP maps that aren't as intensive, and 50 - 80 in single player.

im getting constant stuttering with an i7 2600k and single gtx 580.

1920x1080 everything on max with msaa off and the other aa on high. (getting really good frame rate arround 65fps)

this has been reported though and apparently turning hyperthreating off works or rolling back to nvidia beta drivers.

ive not tried yet as i'm in work.

Turn shadows to medium

These settings give me around 40-60 FPS online or off. That's with an i7 930 at stock. (Spec in sig was supposed to be my new rig but the motherboard was DOA so waiting for a replacement)

Just read about people with stuttering issues - with 6970 + 6950 in crossfire I haven't had any stuttering though I am on 11.8 drivers (I haven't tried newer drivers..if something isn't broke an all that..)
