just went to buy BF3 on GG - to find £5 credit in my account

where did that come from I have no idea - have only ever bought one game - RO2 - and not used any referrals- or do you get £5 for setting up a new account ?

finnaly got my copy downloaded from origin unintalled orgin and disabled av and it downloaded without an issue after 4 attempts

The referral is only £2 I think. So it brings it down to £30~, which is great considering you can put the code instantly on Origin.

just upgraded from similar card to 6950 youll get around 30-40 fps max and thats with low settings. you need to drop res to 1680 or buy new card .

I'm still 50:50 of whether to upgrade or not

thing is I'dlove a new toy to play with but I have a feeling my current system will cope with BF3 just fine anyway - but love to have an excuse

Hmm decisions.....

- order from HMV in store, use my £20 gift card (if still working ) but get it delivered and possibly not on release day (most likely... )

or

- spend the extra and get it pre dll and ready to go
