i played at every setting on the same card at 1920x1080 on ultra i had 30fps my [email protected]

so if u think 30 fps is fine for fps games then fine i dont . a 5850 isnt recommended for a reason its not powerful enough simple.

recommended spec which is for 1920 is a ati 6950 or 560 ti

as for guy with a 5770 jog on

I'm calling bull on that TBH. My 5870 which is only slightly faster than a 5850 played at 1920x1080 all high and 2x AA Vsynced at 60fps most of the time, never dropping below 40.

I think it starts 16:00 UK Time when you are in Korea...

I got the impression that all the timezones are PST or something, afterall the UK one says 28th @ 00:00, when apparently its 8/9am?
If it was 16:00 then it'd be close to 8-9am in Korea/Asia on Tuesday.

Im pretty sure its all set to 8am for all regions, however they're using a US Timezone to inform people when it is, rather than a time thats relevent to the location its for.

It'll still be hours before the US get it, technically it'll be the same release date & time, just the timezone making it sooner.

Eitherway, EA have made the whole thing clear as mud.

If it unlocks at 16:00 Korean time, they are +9 ahead so 16-9=7 so it will unlock at 07:00am UK time surely?

If you want to know the release date for Korea then you need to use a Korean VPN and change your time zone to Korean Time (UTC + 9).

like said just take alook at the recommended specs for bf3 and its bang on the money for what the cards get.

retail bf3 has more textures.
ultra will be harder to run and a 580gtx will likely run out of mem with high aa settings.-

Should I be looking for a new Gfx card?

just upgraded from similar card to 6950 youll get around 30-40 fps max and thats with low settings. you need to drop res to 1680 or buy new card .

I ran the beta on high texture settings without AA or anything and was getting average of 60fps on metro @ 1920x1080

Didn't really take much notice of caspian as it seemed so buggy.

I'm on a core2duo + 4gb ram + hd5770

Also hoping the retail version will be more optimized and less buggy so maybe even more stable fps

Don't really care what my fps was as it was smooth on medium/high with my 5850 and Q6600 @ 3.2 on 1920x1200.

ok, so its midnight everywhere, not 9am (sure i read someone saying it wasnt midnight) so just a matter of finding out what your time is against their release.

So that makes it Monday at 4pm BST for the Korean launch.

If it is right then that will be a nice feature to have

not being funny people are saying with ati 5770 there playing at 1920 res and getting 60 fps lol

not even gunna argue anymore getting very silly your cards have been benchmarked by nvidia and ati to death not by general people. the benchmarks are posted or there to find.

recommended is 6950 2gb or nvidia 560 ti 2gb or over

those with less will struggle to play the game as it should be simple.

as for guy on a about a 580 gtx what the hell if you look a guy was asking about whether his 5850 could run at 1920 res on ultra it cant simple as and maintain constant decent fps. no one mentioned a nvidia 580gtx
