I see where you're coming from in that sense but my PC sees no difference changing FOV in any game, it was 50+ fps before and remained so in the BF3 beta (at 1920x1200). Although you're right about the system stress level, mine wasn't really being taxed that hard at a mix of high/medium and ultra settings but by feedback on the forums the full game runs better than the beta so I guess I can up some settings.

I never had a chance to play last night but will do tonight!

The average fps won't change by any huge amount either way, just try it!

Didn't get the chance to play last night, and I've got the outlaws over tonight as well. Hopefully I can get them out of the house early and get online.

My system is:
i5 2500k
8gb ram
4870

Runs the game fine on medium with no AA at 1920x1200 getting around 40-55 fps most of the time.

Frostbite 2 is a good engine. It still looks good even at the lower detail settings.

I would conservatively say people are seeing around 10-20% increase in performance from beta to retail. Depends on your card really. For playable performance Dice quote an 8800GT to run at console levels.

P.S. Are squad sizes not a server setting? I really hope it's AT LEAST 5 if not :-(
 
Right i need help chaps on Single player.

I need to go around the building which i do with another buddy. Need to climb up these Ladders to a platforf. (the two of us) jump from the platform to a Window, when you climb in its a tiolet/bathroom that you enter.

As soon as you get in... enemy comes in wipes us out. Even though it's telling me to press the E button and mouse button been stuck on that bit for the last 30mins LOL.! :(

They obviously won't do that. Querying their logs for a list of users that decrypted using an Asian IP then soon after connected with a European IP is relatively trivial.
