Ok, loaded the 11.9 profile and 10.10 preview 3 driver.

Running the game with everything on Ultra, except for 2xMSAA and medium post AA. FOV is set to 90, resolution set to 2048x1152. Playing on 64 player Conquest servers.

Haven't seen it go below 50fps, but memory usage is through the roof - it regularly uses more than 3GB on GPU1, which is just unbelievable (according to MSI Afterburner). Whether this is due to beta drivers or it's just how the game runs... we will have to see.

Bottom line: it runs much better than the beta did. Probably as much as 30%.

At this rate I'll be buying two 7950s.
 
I'm trying to find my optimal settings in order to maintain a constant 60 FPS - anyone else with a 580 found the best settings to play the game at. If I run Ultra I'm running at average 45 FPS and I'm having to lower the FOV to compensate but it feels horrible to have such poor FOV.

Is it still the case that if you have antialiasing deffered on, you should turn off anti-aliasing post off?

V-sync off or on?

Motion blur high or low?
 
It's laughable how pointless pistols are. I'm going to have to give up a sniper as a recon for an smg or something because pistols are crap. They've definitely been nerfed since beta.

Agreed. You must have to unlock one of the more powerful ones because I have only been able to kill players with one when they have had their back turned.
 
When I use the VPN to decrypt do I just enter the proxy settings through the control panel or do I also need to adjust time zone settings?

I've had many kills with the a pistol.

Nothing like running out of ammo, quickly switching to pistol and blasting some fools :D
 
Please tell me the Battlelog app is available for the Android?, from what i can see it seems to be just the iPhone or iOS devices (Hope i'm wrong)?, considering that android has almost %50 of the market and growing. I'm beginning to wonder if it was a yank that made the decision because anything with an "i" in America means "intelligent", "information" , "World series" or free donuts at Rusty Brown's Ring Donuts.

Just the ports job will do it via CP > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Use Proxys and Advanced will be clickable

Just went straight in and started playing last night and only turned AA down a bit.

Is FOV to 90 a must??

Was generally happy but will check FPS tonight. Don't want to get bogged down in FPS too much though. Would rather just play! Drivers need optimized also but that's upto nvidia
There better be an Android app on the way too!

Anyone with ATi/AMD cards on 11.10 preview 3 drivers with high FPS but stuttering, try going back to 11.9. Fixed the problem for me.

I just spoke to EA's customer support, and they say we do "not have any information why you get the mail,however the released date of the game is 28 and you will be able to play on that same date."

I seriously think there's a kink in the communication at EA, some people say one thing, the others say something else, and the customer support don't have a clue about anything. I was hoping to play the game without unlocking it by using a VPN.

(I asked about the e-mail stating that the release date had been changed BTW).
 
Anyone had issues with the SP freezing in cutscenes? Get to the 1st cutscene and it freezes completely, every time. :confused:

Just installed a 6870 with the latest ATI 11.10 preview drivers, running 4gb ram, i3 2100 and a 500w corsair PSU.

FPS during the cutscene (on high) is a solid 60fps with vsync on, not sure what the problem could be?
 
Hi guys sorry for the dumbish question but i've been away from this forum since the beta was released, is the battlelog web page still going to be there for the full release or will it go back to like what BF2 was?
