At a guess your browser is not actually using the proxy and still browsing through your UK connection.

Have a look at :

http://whatismyipaddress.com/

and see where it thinks you are.

I was advised after successfully activating the game (done- no problem) i could turn the VPN off and everything would be ok but it's not. Not a massive biggie,i can go through SP and then jump on MP on Friday

Eyy, it works now.

For some reason, despite setting a global proxy through Windows, it took changing the proxy in Firefox for Origin to use it. Odd.

Placing AT mines everywhere and shooting stingers at planes all round in Caspian is fun, bet it annoys a lot of people too

Hmm you should be able to, once my game unlocked i turned the VPN off and it's been fine since.

Yup, love it when you blow up a tank or jeep and they had no idea about it.

I did the same in the beta, placed a mine and watched a jeep go straight into it and flip up and kill all four inside it.

I've been playing Engineer a lot and loving the class, but I'm confused with the Stingers. It's too easy to shoot people down who don't have flares, yet it seems impossible to shoot people down who have flares, am I missing something here? another unlock later on perhaps?

Hmm got an issue, origin has downloaded the game 100% apparently but its still downloading and is now at 11.6Gb/11.4?
Any ideas?

Decided to try some long range sniping earlier, lots of hits at 500m/yrds (whatever the game measures in), sadly no kill shots. Judging the bullet drop takes a bit of getting used to.

Wait until you have lock (the constant tone), usually the pilot will **** himself when he hears it & launch flares. Wait, then fire.

A savvy pilot will afterburner away & try to lose lock by going low, but most will twist & turn & use their flares too early.

I have a Gainward 560ti, had no issues,s playing the Bf3 beta with the beta drivers what so ever, stock settings 835 MHz, 2050MHz, 1670MHz.

Deffo. Enjoyed it a lot. Some of the fights were amazing, especially those in that large tunnel under the mountain.

Good to be in a decent squad.
