Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

Quick query: why, considering that I've had it available since I started BF3 multi, has the game and Battlelog only just told me that I've unlocked the SKS?

Also I was just owning bitches on Metro just now. Hipfire SKS, clearing out apartments around the cafe like I was the landlord from hell.

Stop playing Metro Conquest with 64 players then !

That sort of thing just doenst happen on the larger maps like Caspian Border and Operation Firestorm because there are no bottlenecks.

Metro Conquest was designed as a console map, and included in the PC version so the PC gamers didn't complain that the consoles got "exclusive" maps.

That map was never intended for 64 players and only actually plays properly with 32 or 24 players.

It was only unlocked with the last patch, prior to that it was an exclusive that came with the Physical Warfare pack, which was a GAME exclusive, and also only available on certain ORIGIN orders if you ordered BF3 digitally. After the last patch they gave it away free to everybody.

The inclusion of the IFV in a team deathmatch mode is stupid beyond belief. Essentially whoever gets in the IFV for the longest wins. Providing they aren't useless with it.

Why not? It toughens you up, builds character, and makes it all the more satisfying when you actually manage to do it. :p

You have to be tricksy about it. I'd guess I only get shot in the face maybe two or three out of four times if they don't have the motion sensor on, less if it's a city map.

My finger has, on occasion, slipped on the trigger as I am running put of spawn trying to win the game even thought I am dying all the time when there is someone who's idea of winning the game is to sit back and snipe out of the uncap and therefore be of no use to man or child apart from their own pathetic k/d.

Silly finger. :(

Thats how we got our 5 wins. I basically ran straight for the IFV and every spawned in it. Worked every map (even if i didnt know where it spawned, I was just lucky :D)
 
Finally unlocked the ACOG sight on the QBB-95 last night so I'm done with unlocks for the support class for now. Next up, the Assault class... what's generally seen as the best Assault Weapon?
Alternatively, what's the best Semi-Auto Recon weapon? I jump on recon to set up Soflam quite a bit, so might as well set myself up with a good gun too (but I hate bolt-action).

SKS bruv, SKS all the way :D Love it. Much prefer it to the Chinese Q semi-auto sniper. Not sure what all the others are like, starting semi-auto snipers feel a bit meh sometimes.
 
Screw the IFV. Quickest way to win SQDM is in a quad of medics, and keep reviving each other. As long as you are revived, the other team(s) won't get the ticket. Completed 5 wins like this inside of 1 hour.
 
yeah i would be up for some SQDM on team speak if anyone fancies it, you can dominate any other team if you have chat and as DJ said a squad of medics
