Why do you care if your server has people in it when you're sleeping?! As long as there's people playing when you're on that's all that matters surely?

if you running a busy server keeping it going through the night is vital. ranking would slip and slowly server becomes less populated.

b2k maps are tbh a novelty.

i would advise against getting a server just for those maps. also like goon says your better off with one full server . what will happen youll end up splitting the community you have over two servers so theyll end up less popular. not worth it. especially with b2k maps not going down as well as could have.

once you have a good busy server stick with what you got so many chop change stuff trying to go bigger and you end up losing the players you had. its so easy to lose players but not so easy to get them back .

I think a B2K only server is a good idea. The reason why is because if you stick B2K on the main one, what you'll find is that half the server ditches when the B2K maps come around because they don't have them, and if that happens after 11, the server dies off quickly and doesn't get full again til the next day.

If you have a dedicated B2K server then the main one will always be full and then whoever fancies some B2K (like me) can jump over to that one. I don't think it's a problem that it will split the community because most of the time the main server is already oversubscribed with a que of about 4 people.

I'd rather play against people from OcUK, rather than a bunch of level 20 and below noobs that sit in a corner on conquest with a bipod SAW. Not such a bad thing if the server is not found in the Battlelog presets imo.

Battlelog doesn't log any of my time or kill in the A-10 for some reason  I must have about 20 kills in it and it still says 0 kills and 0 time in the jet...

Battle log doesn't list the unlocks for the M26 under slung shotgun (assault class gadget) for some reason, which is why he can't find them.

And bizarrely rather than being called fleschette they called it the M26 dart.

Potentially it's because there's both the underslung M26, as well as the standalone M26 Mass. My standalone one also has a different weapon for each round type (frag, dart etc.) too.

Honestly, why do you keep stating your own opinion as if it's the general consensus? The B2K maps have been great, the only reason servers drop with them is because people don't want to pay for the DLC. How are some of the best maps on the game a "novelty"?!

B2K maps are awesome! Love them all! Just near enough everytime I play on them its so unbalanced! Games are hardly ever even ans other team just gets steamrolled and then most of them leave :(

because i know how the servers work for many games i monitor them and many many friends run bf3 servers. bk2 maps are not going down well when it comes to keeping your server busy.they do the oposite majority of the time

less have the maps than the normal maps its simple to work out.

anyone can put whatever they like on in rotation but if you have a established well run server why mess it up ? if its full are you going to achieve any more than full ? no you can only loose players ;)

the maps maybe some of the best to you personally but is it best for the server ? thats what a lot of people miss out and its a fine balance. one map wrong and your server can empty. that might take all night to fill again and if you have to start it up first thing in morning do you take the risk ?

infact before crying starts put in new maps on bf3 for conquest and refresh . 90 percent are empty !
now put in the normal maps . thanks for your input dg ;)
so its not i dont like the maps its just in general the maps dont go down well .

you only need a few bad weeks of messing with a server and you can go from top to middle and then empty. once empty thats it. your done.

rofl from the last page on that battlelog thread:

Ode to the Commander (Root that is)

Because you are playing Battlefield 3
CommanderRoot will give a "Hooah" to thee
Its really and truly very very sad
That something so simple can make u-mad??
Maybe I'm just being a bit too bold
But those are the reactions of a 12 year old
So take this little bit of healthy advice
Its so simple you don't have to think twice
Give CommanderRoot an LOL instead of a whine
And maybe he'll even talk to you sometime
