The retard is strong in this one..

BF3 Aint COD. CoD does what CoD does better then BF3 because COD has a proper hitreg. If we want a COD experience guess what? I'll start up MW3/COD4.

It seems like u are the fanboi because u defend DICE while they are dropping the ball and we all know it. We complain because we are disappointed and see the obvious mistakes they are making (16 player max sod off...).

On the u don't need to buy it argument.. Well i guess we kinda do because we want the weapons and unlocks.

Never got shot round corners in games like CS.

Er, yes you did! Only in CS you'd just assume they actually shot you through the wall because you could shoot through walls in CS.


I can't believe you, of all people, are feigning ignorance to the exinterp shenanigans from CS that was the very start of all "hitreg" issues in online games, MrLOL.
 
Dice have yet to release a game with anything other than rubbish netcode, its not a new situation.
DICE actually have amazing netcode. However, they're ballistics (which no other game has) and bullet velocity (ergo, "flight time") in the code which make it incredibly complicated for the server to compensate for interpolation. All of their games have had this since BF1942, hence why you need to "lead" your shots on moving targets.

P.S. "netcode" is another myth invented by the "I don't really understand what happens" masses. There is no "netcode". Client sends packets to server, and server replies. All "netcode" is the same, perhaps the size of data-packet varies between games, but that's all.

Nope, it's 100% client side, why do you think the cheats are having it so good. Why do you think they don't show your ping to the server but do show other players pings, that's right because it's client side.

The engine is client side. That's nothing to do with hitreg.

I.e. the GRAPHICS is all client side. Well duh.

They don't show your ping, because they display the ping between you AND THAT SPECIFIC CLIENT, NOT THAT CLIENT AND THE SERVER. So what's the point in showing your ping to yourself?!

its already been posted elsewhere how it works in BF3.

The client tells the server if you hit the person or not, unlike in other dedicated servers where the client sends a packet and the server decides if the shot hit or not.

DICE say the server validates if this is right or not, but it obviously doesn't work, which is why the hack came out allowing hackers to kill everybody on the server instantly with a med pack in their hand.

It's client side, the whole world apart from you know it, try googling it. And your ping is shown in all past BF titles because they use server side hit reg, so you know what your latency is to the server...doh. Of course that's not important now in BF3 where your latency to other players is more important due to client side reg.

The cheats below are only possible because of client side registration, now just accept you're wrong.

i wear a monacle when playing :p

just recorded one round of cod4 random server uploading now check the hitreg and never in your best day on bf3 of you owning do you get such reg and if you do you LIE !lol

Please god not this again. The ping shown is between you and the server. There is a really simple experiment you can do to prove this. If you ask people in the server what your ping is you will get a response that is more or less identical from everyone regardless of where they are globally. If your ping was to each player the response would be all over the place.

The hit detection in BF3 is what dice call hybrid, whilst the actual detection is purely client side the server performs rudimentary logic checks to make sure the kill was possible, however in light of the mass kill hack its questionable if these checks take place or if they work. Either way detection since beta is client side.

Never mind cod4, the reg on moh is far better again. Much more so than bf3. I can remember the vid you done on metro, full assault rifle mag and pistol mag, only to be one shot killed.
